RAY UTHOF I News Editor • • • • 4 Junior-Senior Banquet In Apple Blossom Theme FENTON - The Junior Senior banquet was held Friday evening at the Sentral School with Apple Blossom time as the theme. Robert Krause was Master of Ceremonies, Teresa Voigt, NEW IMPROVED LATEX SEMI-GLOSS ENAMEL Junior class president gave the welcome and Tom Struecker, Senior Class president gave the response. Robert Rice, principal, gave a short talk entitled "Remarks." Bill Hassel read the Senior class Will and Tom Struecker read the Senior class Prophecy. The banquet was served by the Sophomore class and prepared by the Sentral band mothers. - o - Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stoeber met Mrs. Gladys Smith and boys at the Star Lite restaurant at Fort Dodge Sunday evening for dinner. The world service truck will be at the Fenton Methodist church May 8th. All blankets and clothing should be' to the church before this so it can be packed. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hudson visited their grandson Thomas Joe Hudson at an Omaha hospital Thursday. He was hospitalized with a badly broken arm after a motorcycle accident. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hudson. The Dorcas Club met Tuesday April 25 at the home of Mrs. Paul Hudson. Guests were Mrs. Emil Weisbrod and Mrs. Rex Wolfe. The 47 club met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Adolph Hanson. Mrs. Rose Hanson was a guest. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dreyer and family Humboldt, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dreyer and family Sioux City spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Ida Dreyer. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dreyer, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dreyer, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Dreyer and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Ida Dreyer at the Fenton Cafe, in the afternoon they all attended the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr, and Mrs. Art Krause. Brent Dreyer has been spending the week with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker and Mrs. Ida Dreyer. Tuesday evening guests of Alvina Schuller, Ayrshire were Mr. and Mrs. Art Rusch, Mrs. Esther Hintz, Mrs. Martha Pompe.Mrs. Ida Dreyer, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dau, Algona. Mr. and Mrs. Orvile Hurlburt and family, Lu Verne visited Sunday at the Donald Hurlburt home. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Krause and girls and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hantelman and Sandra, Terry Voigt were Sunday dinner guests at the Lome Miller home at Fiar- mont for Connie's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bruhn visited Sunday evening at the Bernard Tigges home. Friday evening guests at the Howard Buhn home for Yield's birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sunde, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bruhn Mr. and Mrs. William Nielsen and family, Mrs. Ricky Holm and Kirt, Mrs. Lester Theesfieldand Dennis and Sonja Colegrove, Armstrong. Bowling Team Has Supper To End Season FENTON - The Fenton Co- Op Elevator bowling team held their bowling supper at Stubtfs at Spencer, Sunday evening. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. James Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weisbrod, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thilges, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hanson and Alex Thilges. - o - Mrs. Karl Schwartz spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Nina Schwartz. Sixteen ladies of St. John's Lutheran church, Fenton, and 17 ladies of St. Lukes Lutheran church, Fairville, attended the L.W.M.L. 25th anniversary rally of the Algona Circuit zone at Whittemore Tuesday. There were 214 ladies and eight pastors present. Rev. E. L. Wit- kopf, former Burt Pastor and one of the original founders of the L.W.M.L. gave the morning address and Mrs. Alfred Sump, Clarinda, district president gave the afternoon address. The Whittemore Ladies Aid served the. dinner and lunch. Mrs. Helen Krause went to Bettendorf, April 11 to visit Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Long and family from there she went to Harahan, Louisiana a suburb of New Orleans to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ladel Olsons and family. She returned April 25 by bus. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stucki, Julie and Jeff, Ogden, spent the weekend at the Wilfred Stoeber and Marion Stucki home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Stoeber recently visited with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Siewaert at Minneapolis.
