Mr A A Meyer, Captain Jackson's secretary, also goes with the party. i Another of the party is Engineer Cramer, representing a wealthy land company of Philadelphia. He superintended the drainage of the Disston property in Florida, and his business on this trip is to form an opinion as to the advisability and feasibility of draining the swamp. A number of other gentlemen in tho party are interested in the timber growth of the swamp and are expected, after examination, to make a bid for the timber. The party will camp near the swamp and make a thorough personal inspection.
