6-Algona, (la.) Upper D« Motaej Thursday, April 6, 1967 It's License Time! Pet Parade Here Saturday If you live in town or. in the country, you must get a county license for your dog. The last day to get one without paying a penalty is April 30. If you live in Algona, you must also have a city license for your dog. In order to obtain either or both licenses it is necessary to show your rabies inoculation certificate, - which is proof that your dog has had a recent rabies inoculation. These inoculations are good for two years. Algona is having a Pet Parade, Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m. It will start at the high school annex and will be led by the Algona High School band. The parade will end at the city hall. Any kind of animal can be in the parade and there will be prizes given. If you have a dog, you can have it inoculated for rabies by a veterinarian at the bargain price of only $1.75 for two year's protection. You can then buy your dog license for county, and city, if needed. If your dog received the two-year shot last year, it won't be necessary again this year, but you must get a license this year. Please note: Pets must be on leash or under control in the parade. Bicycles are also invited to be in the parade. That morning you can buy your 19GG- 67 license for only 50? at the city hall if don't have one. There will be prizes for decorated bikes. This project is sponsored by the Salesmen's Bureau of the Algona Chamber of Commerce.
