Upper Des Moines Tuesday, April 4, 1967 Eugene Weir, Wesley, Weds At Whittemore WESLEY - Eugene Weir, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weir of Wesley, and Anna Marie Besch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Besch of Whittemore, were married March 28 at 10:30 a. m. in St. Michael's Catholic church, Whittemore. The bride's attendants were Mrs. Don Besch and Carol Zimmerman. The groom's attendants were Terrance Weir and Clarence Harms. Cindy Woods was flower girl. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Don Besch. The dinner-reception was held in the V.F.W. hall in Algona. The newlyweds left for Ft. Bragg, N. C. The groom had returned March 6 from a year's service in Vietnam. Those who attended from this area were the Joe Goetzs, Lester Blaines, Edwart Otis' and Merrill Zwiefels, Wesley, and Merle Flints, Ringsted. Dean's List For Fenton Youth Brian L. Menz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Williard Menz, of rural Fenton, and presently attending Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota, has received the distinction of being included on the Dean's List for the 1966-67 Winter Quarter, an honor granted to students who have maintained an A minus academic average for the quarter. Brian is a freshman at Concordia College preparing for teaching in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. "Kossnth County's Favorite Newspaper" Elaine Fehr Of West Bend Plans Wedding ELAINE FEHR Mrs. Jessie Fehr of West Bend announces the engagement of her daughter, Elaine, to Arnold Wilderman, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Wilderman, also of West Bend. Miss Fehr is a graduate of Mankato Commercial College and at present is employed at the ASCS office at Algona. Mr. Wilderman is a graduate of Sioux City Barber College and is pre- sently serving in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS McKean off the coast of Viet Nam. A summer wedding is planned. Miss Wagner Shower Honoree At St. Joe ST. JOE - Patricia Wagner was honored at a pre-nuptial shower Monday evening in St. Joseph's school hall, with relatives and friends attending. Assisting at the gift table were Eileen Wagner, sister, and Betty Wagner, Jean Marie Thul and Jolene Reding, cousins of the honoree. Virginia Thul and Francis Thul, cousins of the honoree, were in charge of the guest book. The evening was spent playing 500 with Mrs. Luke McGuire and Mrs. Bernard Streit receiving high and second high prizes. Mrs. Gus Bosalis received the door prize. Miss Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Wagner, will be the bride of Robert A. Kruse, Ft. Wayne, Ind., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kruse of Hartington, Nebr., April 8, at 10 a. m. in St. Joseph's Catholic church here. - o- Mrs. John Thul, St. Joe, Mrs. Nick Eischen, St. Benedict, and Casper Kayser, Waseca, Minn., attended funeral' .services for their brother, John Kayser, 92, Yamhill, Ore., Wednesday. They went via plane, from Minneapolis returning home Thursday evening. John Thul and Milford Plathe took them and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Eischen, Emmetsburg, returned them from Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bormann and family entertained in their home Sunday, with the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bormann, Algona, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Kollasch, Whittemore, Mrs. Irene Bormann and family, St. Joe, and Sister Virginia Marie and Sister Anne Marie, Charles City. Sister Ann Marie is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R.
