Apache Junction Mortuary. Terry Edwin Cook He fought like a gladiator but this arena proved too small. At the age of 57, he quietly passed on from his home in Glendale to his new residence at the side of the Lord. It was the only quiet thing he'd ever done. The earth stood still on January 4, 1949, when this boy came kicking and screaming into the world, and it stopped again, to catch its breath, on January 7, as he left it.

Proceeded by his mother and father, Lois and Kermit Cook, and by his treasured grandmother, Mary Lacy, as he leaves, the universe gets, smaller. Of many successes, one he cherished most was his marriage of 31 years to Freda Alice. He stole her heart when she was 15 years-old, and never returned it. Like the doves, they mated for life. He's survived by his faithful dogs and his loving, ornery children, Jason, Kelly and Jayme, who learned honesty and integrity from his herit-.

age and wisdom. This fortress of a man never closed his door to a friend or stranger in need. A grizzly bear in size but a teddy bear at heart gifted athlete, sports lover and little league coach. Though fun-loving and often outlandish, his strong hands reflected his earnest dedication and hard work. He mentored many young men in his field, taking them under his mighty wings, sharing with them his knowledge.

When he smiled, stars lit the skies of his eyes and as he strummed his guitar, he'd pull magic from thin air. And he was one damn good-looking man, even if he did say so himself. He battled many demons in this world but armed with a sword of dignity and the shield of God, he emerged victorious. We will miss your John Wayne swagger, cowboy gentleman, sweet warrior, poet, and the soulsugared sound of your song. you'll make music with the angels.
