(19-20) PAMELA ERICSON- '66-'67 Highlighting Emmetsburg's St. Patrick's celebration this year, March 17 and 18, will be the attendance of a member of Irish parliament as well as federal and state officials, and two Miss lowas, Pamela Kay Ericson and Marie Mushro. Thomas Fitzpatrick, T. D., will represent Emmetsburg's Sister City of Dublin, Ireland, and the people of Ireland to further strengthen the ties of Emmetsburg's Irish heritage. Fitzpatrick will arrive in Des Moines March 16 where he will be met by Senator Kibble, celebration co-chairman John Dahm and Dick Kibble, Irish public relations chairman John McCain and other JayCees, sponsors of the celebration. On March 17 Senator Kibbie will introduce Fitzpatrick to the Iowa legislature. The group will return to Emmetsburg in time for a Chamber of Commerce sponsored tea. Fitzpatrick will be met in Dublin by two ' Trans-World airline hostesses who will be his official escorts to Emmetsburg and who will be honored guests at the celebration. TWA has assisted the Emmetsburg Jay- Cees in their contacts with Ireland, handled travel arrangements and donated to their celebration. Miss Shamrock 1966, Alyce Jones, will crown the winner of the Miss Shamrock Pageant 1967 Friday evening, March 17, at Corrigan Hall in Emmetsburg. Prior to the pageant over 20 guest queens will parade the "Miss America" ramp into the audience. Miss Iowa 1965-66, Marie Mushro, will be a judge at the pageant. Emmetsburg's -many guests and spectators, an expected 25,000 or more, will view a parade of over 100 units. The THOMAS FITZPATRICK Iowa Queens, led by Miss Iowa 1966-67 Pamela Kae Ericson and Little Miss Iowa, Rhonda Blomburg, will ride in the parade and later Join the dignitaries on the reviewing stand. The celebration will reach its climax Saturday night, March 18, when Jo Ann Castle and Joe Feeney, stars of the Lawrence Welk show, perform two shows at Corrigan Hall at 7 and 9 p. m.
