Absent: Miller. The Mayor called this Special meeting to meet with the engineer for the proposed curb and gutter project for 1967 and any other business that would come before the council. Class C beer permit and a cigarette permit was approved for Sjogren's Grocery. . The rest of the meeting was spent discussing with H. Smith, engineer • from' Mason Cfty, la., 1967 proposed projects. No action was taken at this time. Motion moved and seconded the meeting adjourn. D. A. SMITH CITY CLERK COUNCIL MINUTES The City Council met In regular meeting Feb. 15, 1967, with Mayor Finn and the following council members present: Muckey, Andreasen,Elbert,Cook and Miller. Absent: Pelrce. Minutes of last meetings were approved. Letter of resignation from Eppo Bulten, member of the police department, was read, accepted and placed on file in the clerk's office. Request was read from Supt. Lalng to allow the Bertha Godfrey School to hook up to the TV tower at the residence of Eugene Faulstlch at 209 South Main street. Request was approved. Ken's Auto Service submitted the low bid for the new police car and a contract was awarded to Ken's Auto. A letter was read by the Mayor from a group of citizens Interested in translator television in Algona. Annual report of the Algona Municipal Utilities for 1966 was presented to the council by Allen Buchanan, member of the Utilities board and James Palmer, Supt. of Utilities. Report was accepted and placed on file in the clerk's office. Airport board report for the year 1966 was read, accepted and placed on file in the clerk's office. Algona fire department report for the year 1966 was read, accepted and place on file in the clerk's office. Ord. 457 was given the third reading and then adopted.
