A saxophone quartet of Linda Becker, Debbie Stenzel, Kathy Patterson and Jeanine Chafee entertained the group by playing the selection they are preparing la "play at the music contest to be held later. Hostesses at Thursday's meeting were Evelyn Mawdsley, Alllda Harms, Lavina Hansen and Darlene Herrick. Mrs. Lewis underwent spinal surgery on Monday to correct an injury suffered in a fall on the ice at her home in Westside, Iowa the past week. Mrs. Lewis is a sister of Wm. Batt, Sr., and a sister-in-law of Mrs. Jerry Wiener, Burt residents. - o - MERRY MIXERS MET The Methodist Merry Mixers met at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Darts on Sunday evening.
