Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1967 Algona, (la.) Upper Des Moines-21 Career Day For Frosh At A.H.S., Feb. The Algona High School Guidance Department will conduct a career program for the Freshman Class on Thursday, February 23rd. The students in this class will attend three different career sessions of their choice froma field of eighteen provided. The following careers and speakers will be represented: Armed Forces - Recruiting Officers from Navy, Army, Marine Corps & Air Force; Art & Related Fields - E. Van Haaften; Beautician - Delrae Kemna; Business & Related Fields - C. Ullom; Athletic Coach - K. Chirs- tie; Drafting - Engineering - 0. B. Harms;. Farming - D. Kuecker; Interior Decorating - Bob Watson; Law - James Andreasen; Mathematician - A. Knobloch; Mechanic - D. Beisell; Musician - S. George; Nursing - B. Richardson; Secretary - D. Wischhof; Social Work - H. Huber; Elementary Teaching - K. Shever; High School Teacher R. Palmer; and Veterinary Medicine - Shey or Gotten (Drs.). The speakers involved in this program are representivesofthe eighteen careers that the majority of the class was inter- ested in. The program will begin at 12:30 in the High School Auditorium. James Anderson, Guidance Counselor, will give the students a preview of the program and offer guidelines designed to aid students in their occupational study. Then at 1:30 the students will attend the first of three career sessions they have selected from the eighteen different fields cove red. The career speakers will present information of a practical nature and provide opportunity for questions and answers. Emily Moline Rites Are Held At Swea City Funeral services for Miss Emily Moline, 81, Swea City, were held at 2 p.m Thursday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Swea City. Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. Miss Moline died Monday at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. She was born Sept. 12, 1885 in the Swea City area and lived her entire life there. Miss Moline is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. G. Ovens of Swea City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Barnes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
