14-Algena, (la.) Upp«r DM Me!n«t Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1967 Ex-Resident Of LuVerne Rites Held Feb. 18 Funeral services for Harry H. O'Nan, 53, Ballston, Ore., were held at 10 a. m. Saturday at the Blake Funeral Home, Lu- Verne, with Rev. Ralph Hindman of the Evangelical United Brethren church officiating. Burial was In the LuVerne cemetery. Mr. O'Nan, husband of a former resident, died Feb. 11 at a Salem, Ore. hospital following a lingering Illness. Born and educated at Cedar Falls, Mr. O'Nan married the former Donna Miller of LuVerne at Reno, Nov., and they lived there until five years ago. Mr. O'Nan retired that year from the railroad because of 111 health and moved to Ballston where he owned a general store and was postmaster. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Garry, San Diego, and Harry E., Reno; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Stevens, Treasure Island, Calif., Judy, Reno, and Jacqueline, living at home; and a brother, Robert E. Horn, India Atlantic, Fla. On Dean's List DUBUQUE, IOWA - Corliss M. Rupp of Algona, at the University of Dubuque has been named to the Dean's List for the first semester of this academic year. An average grade of at least 2.2 out of a possible 3.0 is the requirement. The honor students parents are Mr. and Mrs. William A. Kirkland 608 So. Jerome, Algona. Derner of 614 Bell Court, Algona, has been selected for technical training at Lackland AFB, Tex., as a U.S. Air Force air policeman. The airman recently completed basic training at Lackland. His new school is part of the Air Training Command which conducts hundreds of specialized courses to provide technically trained personnel for the nation's aerospace force.
