Bob and Atsuko opened up the New, Tokyo Food Market and worked together until she fell ill and the business was sold. Everyone that knew Bob knew he had a sense of humor that you didn't expect because of his quiet nature. He was always there for his kids and grandkids, and he will be greatly missed. Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather husband, son, brother and friend to many. His hobby was genealogy, and he spent much of his time researching his family history.

He was able to trace his history back several generations. He is survived by his sons Michael Mahr and Dennis Mahr, daughter Patricia Heidorn, daughter-in-law Sharon Mahr, son-in-law Troy Heidorn, Maggie O'Donnell and Helene Carroll. Grandchildren Krista, Brandi, Brittani, T. Andrew and Sammie, greatgrandchildren Angel and Alissa. Sisters Ruth Andresen, Bonnie Marshek, and Marge Kallin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary on Tuesday, November 4, 2003. Services to start at 2:00 P.M. Jonathan Mason, age 9, of Ahwatukee, AZ died on Saturday, Nov. 1st, 2003. Burial will be in Mississippi.

Local Memorial will be announced at a later date. Mr. Rutherford Hayes Mayfield, age 83 of Phoenix, died Oct. 30, 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife Climola Mayfield in 1989.

A native of Ecru, MS, he was retired from Reynolds Metal Co' where he was employed for 33 yrs. Rutherford was also a US Army Veteran, Technical SGT the Anti Tank Company 364th Infantry. Survivors include his son; Rudy, six grandchildren; Kevin, Brian, Adrian, Sanza, Courtnei and Andrea. Jean Nealis, 80 of Goodyear, passed away at her home in Goodyear, AZ on Nov. 2, 2003. Jean was born on July 30, 1923 to Hugh and Margaret Wallace in Santa Monica, California. Jean attended grade school and high school graduating in 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jean served in the Navy during World War II.

Jean worked as a stenographer for the Phoenix Police Dept. Maricopa Sheriffs Dept. Maricopa County Attorney Office and the Clerk of Superior Court for many years. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 61 in Avondale. She was a fanatic Bingo Player and would play every day if she could.

Jean is survived by her husband Ret. Police Chief of Goodyear Seymour Nealis, daughter Nancy Smith of Glendale, sister Charlotte Underwood of Arkansas and grandchildren Steven, Daniel and Allycia Smith.
