home near Akins on Thursday August 12th from injuries were held at family home on Friday August 13th Interment being made in Akins cemetery the same Rev Watson pastor of First Baptist church of this city conducted the services About twa weeks ago Mr Miller wap assisting in rounding up cattle on Hooley place near Akins and was thrown to the ground when his horse made a dash after a steer and was seriously injured which resulted in his death two weeks later Medical attention was Immediately given and he seemed to be on the road to recovery when suddenly he passed away The deceased was born in Arkansas some 50 years ago but at early age he moved to Cherokee Nation now Sequoyah county with his parents and settled only a few miles from the place where he met his death He was among our well known farmer-stockmen and successful He was the father of Tom Miller who made the supreme sacrifice during the world war The deceased was the oldest son of Mr and Mrs Winchester Miller of Akins He is survived by his aged parents wife and seven children Jesse Wil Mrs Breedlove entertained the BOO club on last Friday evening with an outing at McCoy Ford on Big Sallisaw creek The evening was spent in
