THE HEARNE DEMOCRAT, FRIDAY, JUNE 27, 1047 MRS. W. C. BISHOP, Society Editor Mathews-Crowder Vows Exchanged On Sunday, June 22nd at five o'clock in the afternoon at the First Baptist church of Hearne. Miss Lorraine Crowder was given in marriage by her father, E.

H. Crowder, to James Story Mathews, son of Mrs. J. H. Mathews and the late Mr.

Mathews. Rev. C. W. Sanders, pastor of the church officiated in the double ring ceremony.

The bridal theme was accented at the chancel of the church with upstanding' baskets of white gladioli against a background of candles and foliage. Pews were designated for the two families and close friends with bows of white satin ribbon. The bridal music was rendered by Miss Mary Ruth Cherry, organist, and Euell Porter of Huntsvile, who sang "Because" prior to entrance of the bridal party and "With This Ring" as the couple exchanged the symbolic bands. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. She chose for her marriage a gown of candlelight satin styled with elongated bodice with long sleeves.

The yoke of the dress was of white lace and the flaring skirt fell into a short train. The fingertip bridal veil of tulle was attached to a double frill of the tulle. The white bound Bible carried by the bride was topped with white carnations and from the bouquet fell a shower of white carnations and primroses. Mrs. H.
