She passed into the arms of her loving Father in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Born in Phoenix, Az on Nov 12th 1963, to James E. Allyn, Sr and Martha H. Jobe Allyn, Cathy was a loving daughter, sister and most of all a mother to her daughter, Sarah. Cathy was employed as a nurse, a profession that she loved as much for the hard work as for her ability to help people feel better. Cathy initially attended Scripps College in Claremont, California, but she soon decided that she missed her family and moved back to Arizona to pursue her degree in Nursing.

She then graduated number one in her class from the Scottsdale Community college nursing program, where her daughter Sarah stole the show by surprising her mother on stage in order to place her RN pin on her uniform. Cathy had the uncanny ability to walk into a room and discuss anything from the laws of the universe to the dangers of drugs and alcohol. She was a wonderful person and will be missed terribly by all who knew her. Cathy's other loves were cooking and the outdoors. loved to cook, whether a fancy dinner or an experimental casserole, she gave it her best and most of the time she was successful when dinner was served.

She enjoyed spending time in outdoors fish for the infamous bass or to camp in unchartered territory. She enjoyed jazz music, even dating a musician for a time later in her life just so she could be closer to the music that she loved. Cathy was also a nationally ranked Amateur wrestling referee, where she participated in refereeing the National wrestling tournament. When that task became boring for her, she began participating in Amateur Judo tournaments and very quickly became one of the best Judo players in the state of Arizona, even to the point of qualifying for Nationals with very little experience under her proudly worn white belt. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Emmet Jobe Sr and Q.

Allyn; her paternal grandmother Thelma Allyn, and her aunt, Betty Allyn. She is survived by her parents Jim and Martha Allyn, grandmother Lucille Jobe-Boldt, grand- father Bob Boldt, her brothers Jim and Hank, her sister-inlaws Kathy Sue and Maria Perez, her sister Cecilia Allyn, her five nieces and nephews, Karen, Randal, Jimmy, Raymond and She also has four uncles, Buddy Jobe, Keith Allyn, Dave Higgins and Kurt Sugareth. She is also survived in Minnesota by her partner Todd Foster and the pride and joy in her life, daughter Sarah Allyn.

May your trip be peaceful and we all miss you terribly. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Sat. Aug. 16th at the Nazarene Church, 191 S. California St.
