Mefhtoefs of the San Saba Golf Association were delayed by rain but six returned the links about 1:30 p.m. to lay a soggy round of Nfifned winner for the day was Wadene Ivy with Wanda Wharton placing second, others playing were Bess Patterson, Jeanette Askey, Dorothy Sterner and Wallace Parks. Today, Thursday, June 5, the Association will conduct a 9 a.m. business meeting which will be followed at 10 a.m. with "Scotch Foursome' 1 as the game.

Teazle left Louisiana around 18GO, bringing all his children to the beautiful area known as Spring Valley. He had five daughters and two of them lived their lifetime in San Saba county. Angelina Feazle Barton lived In Burnet county; Elizabeth Feazle King, Williamson county and Sarah Margaret Feazle Harvey was living in Washington county, Ark. when last heard from. are vacation- Ing on their place on the river here. Mary's cousin, Cecil Cone of Llano, has been visiting with them. They all visited in San Angelo Saturday. Vicki Tabor and husband of Aspermont were visiting in the community recently. She is the granddaughter of Mrs.

Mollle Abernathy, a former resident. Vickl said Mrs. Abernathy sends greetings to all her friends here and though she is 91 years of age she still remembers and talks of her friends here. She now resides in a nursing home about 30 miles from Aspermont, and her health is good. Vicki is the daughter of Charles Abernathy.

Now for more recent news: Mr. and Mrs. Van Gossett attended funeral services for Will Wilton at Richland Springs Sunday afternoon. They then visited with Mrs. Trull.

and Mrs. Eallle Mltchel of Sterling City visited over the weekend in our home; with Mamie Farris at deep creek and Lela Wood In Brady, It was suggested to me that 1 mention in this column about funds for the Holt Cemetery Association. Someone has been hired to mow the cemetery this week and if anyone with relatives burled there wished to send a donation it would be greatly appreciated. George Armentroutdoes the mowing and he does a very good job. Rosemary McPherson and June McPherson visited in Llano recently with the Mike McPhersons. Rosemary also visited with her Thelma Finlay, in Bangs. Mrs. Finlay, the former Thelma Treadwell, will undergo open heart surgery in Houston June 8.

Our best wishes to you, Mrs. Finlay. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Deeds vacationed in Mexico during the Memorial Day J.
