P.O. Box 3669 Gettysburg, PA 17325 Births Rodney Lee Decker Rodney Lee Decker went home to be with his Lord Dec.

24, 2009. He passed away at home with his family lovingly by his side. Rodney was born Dec. 23, 1946. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Maudzella Decker of York Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi R. Decker, and three children, Angela J. Decker of Lebanon, Rodney L. Decker, II of Dillsburg, and Jennifer L. Decker of Dillsburg, all of whom will greatly miss his loving devotion.

He is also survived by his sister Patricia Riley and husband Ken of Dillsburg; and three brothers, L. Richard, William, and Theodore Decker and his wife Sharon, all of York Springs. He was the beloved son-in-law of Ruth Baker of Halifax and brother- in-law of Roy and Alice Miller, Daniel and Sharon Baker also of Halifax, and Darlene Baker of Matamoras. His strong love of country and freedom led him to service in the U.S. Army Reserves where he trained to be a land surveyor.

He began his own surveying business in 1976 and continued until the beginning of 2008 when he suffered several debilitating strokes. Honesty and diligence to accuracy were the hallmarks of the way he conducted his business. In his personal life Rodney was a man who put everyone else first and himself last. He did not hesitate to help others. He was a loving, gentle man with great God-given abilities to do repairs whether electri- cal, plumbing, or mechanical in nature; but even greater than these was his ability to mend broken spirits with humor and loving kindness.

He was a man of encouragement and faithful to God, his family, and his country. Prior to his illness, he had attended Grace Bible Chapel in York Springs. He was a man who will be greatly missed by those who loved him and knew him for his kind spirit, loving support, his cheering wit, and his wise guidance. We look forward to the day when we are reunited with him and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. May God be praised for His unspeakable gift of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ.
