Would you do another reality show? It would have to be the right kind of television program that fit my needs. I'm an aviator, an academic, and I love to cook and to travel. I'm not very vocal. I like to sit back and analyze a situation before I speak up. I tend to be logical, and some people are emotional I'm in the science and math department, and we all kind of speak alike. Here, I was forced to learn to communicate in a different style. What was the toughest part? I think the hardest part was figuring out where I fit ia I nave a lot of knowledge.

I have a rh.D, I'm a geologist, so I know things, but I don't have applied skills like carpentry, welding and auto mechanics. Having really taught my students what happens to people after a disaster. That was a nice area to explore firsthand in a controlled environment through "The Colony," and then I could take those lessons back to the classroom. Do you really have no contact with the outside world during shooting? None. The interesting thing is "The Colony" is designed that you are living the experience 247.

Obviously when I go to a premiere or a party in Mexico City and get all dressed up, I get artentioa I don't have that here, but I don't need that What do you miss about Mexico City?
