She was an honest, thoughtful person who always sought to help others and gave strength to the many people who Thibet Carolin Crawley, 63, of Glendale, passed away August 9, 2000. She was born on December 25, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan where she lived until moving to Phoenix in 1956. A Eldon L. Meade, of Chandler, passed man Grove, Nebraska. Her parents were Norwegian immigrants and pioneers on the Nebraska praine.

She is the last of eleven children born to Mons O.M. and Julia Johnson. Mary was raised on a farm but went to Omaha, Nebraska, in 1921, where she met and married her husband of fifty-rive years, W. Doyle Hart. He was a grain dealer throughout the mid-west and Mary was a deluxe Mother and Homemaker and a marvelous pianist.

She was entertaining others wilh her skill and love for the piano until shortly before her death. Doyle preceded her in death in 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona. Mary did many interesting things in her lifetime, including working in a War Plant during World War II, and painting her entire three-story home by herself in those years, because all the house painters had gone to war. She traveled extensively, here and abroad, and after she was eighty-five years of age, she made over seventy-five quills by hand. Mary is survived by three doting daughters: Lois Hall of Tempe, Arizona, Betty H.

Stone, of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Mary O. Jones, of Grants Pass, Oregon. She was Grandmother to nine grandchildren, John Doyle, Laurie, and David Hall, Mickey, Tim, and Steve Stone, Joe, Dean, and Pam Jones. Great-Grandmother to twenty-one: Christy, Barry, Heather, Amy, Brian, Drew, Trevor, Tyler, Elizabeth, Sarah, Tim, Gabriel, Gracie, Corey, Jenney, Jeff, Crystal Julie, Michael, Lisa and Kayla and was Great-Great-Grandmother to loved her. benevident friend, an inspirational mother, a doting grandmother, and beloved wife, Donna will be deeply mi wed by everyone whose lives the touched.

Donna leaves us with many happy memories and we are thankful to have shared her life with her. She is survived by her husband Bill Cuflf, her daughter Nikki Poropal, and her granddaughter Tiana Poropat. No visual ion or services are planned. (Dick) Shilling, 67, of Peoria, passed away August 10, 2000, at home after fighting lung cancer for 3 years. He taught art for 25 years with the Phoenix Union 4 She met her future husband, Michael and they were married on February 15, 1958. She worked as a registration clerk at St. Joseph's Hospital for twelve years. She will be remembered by her many friends, co-workers and loved ones for her kindness, warm heart, familiar smile and laughter.

She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She will always hold a very special place in our hearts and will be truly missed. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael; her daughters, Kristi Michelle Grassley, Traci Michelle Gray and her husband, Joseph; her son, Michael Garth Grassley, her brother Walter F. Kurrle and her nephew, Bart Higlcy. Services will be held Saturday, August 19th at at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 12470 North 33rd Avenue, Phoenix.

Eldon was bom October 23, 1921 in the township of Haney (Crawford County) Wisconsin, the son of James and Mary (Jones) Meade. The Meadcs moved to the Dane-Lodi area in the 19401.

On May 9, 1945 he married Adell Karls in Dane, Wisconsin. He farmed in the Dane area for IS years. In I960, the Meade family moved to Chandler where Eldon established Meade Construction Company. Eldon continued to be active in the business with his two ions. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and head usher at St.

Mary's Catholic Church in Chandler. Surviving are his wife, Adell; daughter, Jean (Michael) Bergen of Chandler; sons, Jim (Patty) Meade and Joe (Moli) Meade, both of Chandler, and daughter, Susie (Doug) Hinkley of Gilbert Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Joseph, Tamara, Kirby, Ty, Timothy, Mason, Margo, Karen, Merissa, Jake, and Mattison and one great-grandchild, Ariel. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and lifelong friend, Clifford O'Kane, and sister-in-law, Vicki Meade, both of Wisconsin. Eldon was the last surviving member of a family of ten. Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, 2000 from 6:30 to 8.O0 P.M.

at St Mary's Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street in Chandler with the Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10-00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Pauline Evelyn Stella, 82, Scottsdale Arizona, passed away August 12, 2000. She was born August 25, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois and was a R.N. (Registered Nurse) and the wife ol Raymond Stella. Pauline married Raymond Stella on September 30, 1941 and was the mother of four children. Her education and training were at North Park College and Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago.

She was a gifted seamstress and creative home-maker. She is remembered with great love. She was preceded in death by father, John Emil Pearson and mother Pauline Hannah Nilsson. Survivors include husband Raymond Stella, sons: Lawrence. Mark Stella, Jonathan Ray Stella and David Christopher Stella, daughter Penelope Stella, six grandchildren one great-grandchild.

She was a Homemaker throughout her life and was born November 7, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to the late Phillip Porter and Katherine Witchurch Porter and moved to Arizona in 1977 from New Mexico. Survivors include her husband, Donnie; daughter, Brandy; sons, Shawn and Jack; mother-Kather-ine; brothers-Vaughn and Earl Porter as well as 2 grandsons, Alex Michael. Services will be Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000 at at Bueler Mortuary Chapel, 14 W. Hulet Drive in Chandler.

Jeffrey Sterling Paschal, 40, of Phoenix AZ, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2000 doing what he loved; flying as a crew chief aboard a Navy MH-53E minesweeping helicopter. Jeff joined the Navy in May, 1987. He served with honor in 'Desert Shield' and 'Desert Storm' during the Persian Gulf War and more recently in 'Operation Shining Hope' in Albania and Kosovo.

He had completed tours of duty in Antarctica, Norfolk VA, Alameda CA, Point Magu and in Corpus Christi TX. Jeff is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pam; daughters, Jennifer (17) and Kathleen (10); Blanche Harrison, 77, of Phoenix Arizona, passed away August 13, 2000. Blanche was bom April 4, 1923 in Sulpher Springs, Texas and moved to Phoenix Arizona 32 years ago from the state of Texas and was employed through U.S. West. Survivors include 1 daughter Lura Madison, 1 sister Helen Harrison, 2 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Universal Memorial Center. Betty Jane Stickney, 82, of Scottsdale Arizona, died August 12, 2000 at her residence. She was born October 17, 1917 in Sharon, PA and was a WWII Army Nurse. Mrs.

Stickney was an active member and Deacon at Valley Presbyterian Church, member of Newcomers Club, Western Greeters and Kiwi Club (retired stewardesses ol American Airlines). Survivors include her daughter, Amy A. (Tom) Ward and two grandchildren, Kristen A. and Brian L. Ward.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18th at Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Paradise Valley, AZ. Her family suggests contributions to Valley Presbyterian Music Endowment Fund. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.

Wayne A. Alberti, 64, of Glendale Arizona, born April 28, 1936 in Tupper Lake, NY, passed away July 25, 2000. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona.

Gorman is survived by his wife, Lucie A. Gorman of Sun City; his sister, Opal "Ginger" Harris' of New Jersey; and 2 nieces.
