The court clerk's office will begin faxing copies of indictments to the jail after grand jury hearings. A master list of indictments also will be sent. Once jail workers make sure, based on the master list, that the jail has copies of all indictments, jailers will have to call the clerk's office and confirm that they received copies of all indictments.

The Pima County Attorney's Office will review terminology used in release orders to make sure directions are clear, Deputy County Attorney Rick Unklesbay said. Elizabeth A. Associated Press TUCSON Pima County officials have decided against disciplining three jail employees for their roles in the mistaken release of a murder suspect. Allen C. Brown, 37, who is charged with stabbing his girlfriend to death, was released last week after a paperwork mistake.

Brown surrendered to authorities in Kansas City, on Tuesday. Jail Capt. Paul Wilson said the three employees involved performed their duties as expected. "There was no wrongdoing on their part," he said. Brown was released after the jail workers received paperwork that stated the murder charge against Brown had been dismissed, sheriff's administrators said.

But Superior Court Clerk Patricia Noland, whose office sends notices to the jail on arrestees, said jail employees misread paperwork in making the release.
