Eric, a soldier in the Lord's service, went to his heavenly reward to be with Jesus. Eric, a Christian of strength, courage and dignity, was a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Geographic Society and a supporter of Boys Town. With a deadly disease, which he knew would claim him, Eric was more concerned about others than himself. I asked Eric where he got his strength, his reply, "The Lord." Dorothy Day Webster Piercefeild was born in Prescott, Arizona, September 5, 1917 and died peacefully at her home in Fountain Hills, Arizona on October 28, 1999. She was very proud of her Arizona heritage. Her large extended family in Arizona was startedby Dr. Warren E. Day who came to Arizona in the 1870 and was a pioneer doctor in Prescott.

She graduated from Arizona State Teachers College in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1943 and taught in the Phoenix Elementary School District for over 40 years. Education, teaching and the love for children were her passions in life. She was a member of St. Anthony's on the Desert Episcopal Chapter DZ, and First Families of Arizona, an organization dedicated to Arizona Pioneers." She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall A. Pierccfield and is survived by daughters, Marsha Piercefield and Carol Willis," son, Howard Piercefield, 6 grandchildren, a brother, Robert Webster, and a sister, Eleanor Hatton.

Vera Jo Listenbee, 65, of Phoenix, a homemaker, died Oct 26, 1999. She was born in Wellington, Texas. We were blessed to enjoy her graciousness, love and sense of humor for so many years. Born in 1908 in Pine Bluff, AR, she married Malcolm Gibson in 1932.

They lived in Phoenix for many years and were active in several theater groups. Marian was a member of the Screen Acton's Guild and loved being a professional actress. She devoted her time to serving others, volunteering for many organizations, including the Center for the Blind and Meals on Wheels. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters and their husbands, many grandchildren and their spouses, great-grandchildren, we well as a wonderful group of friends. A memorial service will be on November 2 at 3:00 PM at Orangewood Presbyterian Church 7321 N.

10th Street. ean Lois Jean Calloway was born on February 6, 1942 to Henry and Helen Calloway in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The angel of death knocked on the door and claimed her life on the morning of October 24, 1999 in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated Valedictorian of her class in 1959 from Harris High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Having received a full academic scholarship, she enrolled in Arkansas Baptist obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

She graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude in 1963, fulfilling her dream of becoming a teacher. She was preceeded in death by her parents- Henry and Helen Calloway. She leaves to mourn her departure from this life, her children. Dr. Michael Crudder (Jeanette), Yolanda Crudder, Candice Crudder; one brother Waymon Calloway (Billie) of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters Chirstine Calloway-Chandler of Yakima; WA and Sharon Peterson of Seattle WA; eight grandchildren, three aunts, three uncles and a host nieces, nephews and friends.

For the past 54 years, Grace has been married to Ralph Green, a retired manufacturer. They raised three sons In Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Grace was actively involve'd in the community. She served as president of the Variety Club Heart Hospital University of Minnesota, Chairman of the Book Fair for Mount Sinai Hospital, was an active member of the Grandparents Club of Minneapolis Children's Hospital and was a member of the Minnesota Governor's Commission for Public Health. For over twenty years, Grace and Ralph maintained part-time residence In Scottsdale, and in October, 1998, became full-time residents of Arizona. Grace Is survived by her husband Ralph, sons Michael (Martha), Richard (Pam), and Douglas (Shelly), and seven grandchildren.
