She was born June 6, 1920 in Elmira, daughter of the late Michael and Victoria (Sulkowski) Gumoski and passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband Eugene E. in 1990, 1 brother and 3 sisters and is survived by her children Marilyn Rupp, with whom she resided, Eugene (Maria) Rupp, Toni Shields; grandchildren Kelly (Nathan) Eldridge, Lisa Shields (Gary Palmieri), Andrew Shields and Matthew Rupp (Crystal Johns); 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Margaret Rupp all of Elmira along with several nieces and nephews. Helen was a communicant Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Church). It was her request that a private family visitation be held.

Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 1st at 10 am in Ss. Peter Paul Church. Rev. Richard Farrell, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St.

Peter Cemetery. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family. RUPP, Helen M. Irvin, Stephen Age 55 of Elmira went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 with loving family at his side.

Surviving is his loving mother, Bettye Taylor Irvin and her devoted companion, Lucian Carter; daughter, Tanona Maria Irvin; step sons, Evan and Jackson Jerrell Blanford; grandchildren, Keyonna Irvin and Key- Yaun Payne; sister, Linda Joyce Irvin-Woodson; brothers, Raymond Earl and Eric Joseph Irvin; nieces nephews and many friends. Stephen was predeceased by his father, James F. Irvin Sr. and a brother, James F. Irvin Jr.

Stephen was a self employed landscaper and was devoted to his loving family. Family and friends will be received at St. Baptist Church, 402 Sullivan St. Elmira, NY 14901 on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow at 2 p.m.

Darcangelo, Ricardo (Darky) Age 55 of Elmira, NY. He was born March 26, 1959 in Elmira, the son of Peter J. Darcangelo, Sr. and Louise (Russell) Darcangelo Benson and passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 unexpectedly at home. He was predeceased by his father Peter; sister Penny Darcangelo and is survived by his children Meneke Darcangelo of Tampa, FL, Ricardo Darcangelo, Jr.

of Elmira and Devin Darcangelo of Horseheads; mother and step father Louise and Gene Benson Gillett, PA; siblings Eugene Gallow of Elmira, Peter Ann Marie Darcangelo of Gillett, PA, Mariann Darcangelo of Daytona Beach, FL, Luann Tim Pelot of Horseheads, Doreen Post Gary Beard Gillett, PA; grandchildren Jahwaun and Chakyla Graham, Anna Darcangelo and Rowan Walton along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rick graduated from EFA. He played basketball in Jr. and Sr. High School.

Later he played softball for various teams in Elmira and Horseheads. He loved sports; rallied for the Red Sox and Vikings. Rick loved racing and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhart. He enjoyed going to Florida for the races and golfing with his step father Gene and friends. He was employed with Cameron Manufacturing and Purolater Products.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Elmira, on Wednesday, October 1st from 3 to 6 pm. His funeral and committal services will follow at 6 pm. Age 58, of Breesport, NY, passed away at home on Monday, September 29, 2014.

He was born on November 8, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY. John was predeceased by his father, Leslie Sheridan, son, Shawn Sheridan and sister, Linda Sheridan. He is survived by his wife Regina Sheridan; daughter, Sheyann (Daniel) Hubbard; mother, Emeline Sheridan; sister, Patricia (Edward) Green; brothers, Leslie (Elaine) Frederick, David and Charles (Karen) Sheridan; grandchildren, Kasey and Shawna Hubbard and Tyler Granger; great-grandchild, Kaeden; along with several nieces and nephews. John was a member of the Breesport Volunteer Fire Dept. and involved in suicide prevention.

John was a kind, loving and helpful man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. It was wish that the burial service be held for family and close friends at Green Spring Cemetery in Newfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Sheridan, John H.

Ameigh, Llewellyn A long time resident of the Gillett, PA community passed away Sat. morning, September 27, 2014 at Elcor Health Services at the age of 86. Born on Aug. 23, 1928 in Williamsport, PA, Lew was the son of the late, Leslie D. Anna M.

Lewis Ameigh. He married Margaret Kendall on April 21, 1949 in Canton, PA and she predeceased him on Nov. 29, 2008 after nearly 60 years of dedication to each other. A devoted husband and father, Lew was employed by Collins Walton as a pipe fitter for many years. He was well known in the Gillett and Fassett communities where he was a dedicated member of the Fassett Baptist Church, proudly ringing the church bell every Sunday following services; as well as the South Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.

He found much enjoyment in welding and building, trips with his beloved to the Bloomsburg Fair, and quality time with his large and loving family who survive; his seven children, Connie (Jim) Avants, Columbia Cross Roads, PA; Rodney (Esmeralda) Ameigh, Phoenix, AZ; Scott (Judy) Ameigh, Gillett, PA; Linda (Jim) Havens, Gillett, PA; (Paula) Ameigh, Gillett, PA; Eric (Margretta) Ameigh, Hummelstown, PA; Mark Ameigh, Syracuse, NY; sisters, Vivian (Thomas) Walsh, Bentley Creek, PA; Carol (Donald) Osgood, Park City, MT; brother- in-law, Marvin Berry, Columbia Cross Roads, PA; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many family friends. In addition to his parents, and Lew was predeceased by his two grandsons, Adam Michael Ameigh and Kenneth Marland Ameigh; great granddaughter, Kayla M. Jud was born November 5, 1929 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Asel T. and Gertrude Hoover Graves. He married his wife, Onalee A. Hartman Graves, on February 25, 1950 and she pre-deceased him on January 31, 2006 after nearly 56 years of marriage. Jud was a Veteran of The Korean War serving his country with The U.S.

NAVY and was a member of Horseheads American Legion Post 442. He and his family owned and operated Graves Press in Elmira Heights, NY for many years. In addition to his wife, Jud was also predeceased by his son Darryl J. Graves on April 10, 2007. He was a man of strong character who would do anything to help someone out whether he knew the person or just heard that they needed a Jud is survived by his daughters: Deirdra, Melanie, and Dorice; brother and sisters-in-law: Leon S.

Marion Graves of Mulberry, Florida and Betsy Owens of Tulsa, OK; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. "Jud" Lane, Carol Margaret (Suitor) Age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Mesa, AZ on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Her loving family was all by her side. Carol was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 27, 1936. She is the daughter the late Thomas and Alice Suitor. Left to go on is her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Lane; her three children, Donna (Jeff) of Queen Creek, AZ; Dawn of Mesa, AZ; Scott (Annette) of Mesa, AZ; also her four grandchildren, Ian of Casa Grande, AZ; Jennifer (Matt) of Queen Creek, AZ; Matthew of Chicago, IL; Abigail of Queen Creek, AZ; last but not least, her precious great granddaughter, Riley Dawn of Queen Creek, AZ.

Carol graduated from Southside High School in 1956. Izard's and later Remington Rand employed her until she and Donald were married on April 27, 1957. Shortly after their marriage they started their family. Carol then dedicated her life to raising her children and then helping her daughters raise their children. After Donald retired they began to go to Arizona for the winters because their son Scott lived there.

After that, the rest of the family followed. Carol and Don have lived in Elmira for the summer and Mesa, AZ for the winter for the last 18 years. Carol loved her family and her homes. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She also loved her friends and extended family.

She enjoyed traveling by car and later in life by air! Carol was a fighter against her cancer for over 10 years. Her family and all who knew her have admired her strength and her love of life. She truly is an inspiration and will be terribly missed. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania NY on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral services celebrating her life will follow the visitation at 6 PM.

Reverend Richard Farrell will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of her family. Mr. Eastman, 19, of Lansing, died after a collision involving a dirt bike and an all-terrain vehicle late Friday on Decamp Road in Lansing. Family and friends said Monday that two other Lansing men brothers Billy Radcliffe, 21, and Zachary Radcliffe, 19 died of injuries sustained in the accident. They declined interviews Monday.
