GLORIFYING YOURSELF Club May GOODFELLOWS Hospital Fund FUND SLUMPS Donation to Maternity Ward to Be Considered by Jun- ior Woman's Possible donation of a substantial sum to the maternity ward of St. Mary's hospital, to be used at the discretion of the hospital author- ties and the doctors of the Oneida County Medical society, was an- lounced today by Miss Lisbeth ECretloW, president of the Junior Woman's club, and Mrs. Charles 3rimes, chairman of the Charity ball. This donation would be in addition to providing funds for the free baby clinic and cod liver oil for needy children.

Mrs. Grimes announced that an error was made in the amount of money cleared on the dance and the donations for charity. The sum of $502.92 was made, instead of $467.37, as previously announced. Mrs. Grimes also thanked Mrs.

Richard Wittenkamp for her services on decorations for the dance hall. This is the fourth year Mrs. Wittenkamp has done this work for charity. Final disposition of the fund for the hospital will be voted at the January meeting of the club. Personals Mrs.

A. Stecher, 518 West Phillip street, is in Milwaukee. Mr. Slecher will leave the last of the week for Milwaukee until after the holidays. Mr.

and Mrs. Richard Morrison left this morning for Grand Rapids, to visit Mrs. Morrison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bennett.

Thomas Hanson, Spirit Palls, were shoppers in Rhinelander today. Harold Lawson and his daughter, Myra, returned this morning to Wausau after a week's stay here with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fisher. Total Today Below Amount Collected by Same Date Last Year, Report.

Slightly below last year's total for the same date, the Goodfellows fund today continued its "slump" with only $24 in donations being reported. The total today was $336.25, according to Treasurer Norman Korth, compared to $340 a year ago. Included in today's contributions was a contribution of $11.50 from employes the Nicolet national forest headquarters here. Up to 2 p. Townsend Club Hds Meeting Tomorrow An important meeting of the Rhinelander, Townsend club will be held at 8 o'cliock Thursday evening in the council rooms of the city hall. The meeting will be lowed by a card party. Each woman is asked to bring a lunch for two people. Coffee will be served by. the club.

Every person without a social security account number who expects to find employment during the holiday season should secure one immediately. "Many employers arc reluctant to hire full or part-time workers who do not have account numbers," G. W.

Spencer, acting manager of the social security board field office in Wausau. stated. "Employers must report each worker's account number when the social security tax returns are made to the collector of internal revenue."
