In a pending suit, Sam Shoen accuses Joe Shoen of violating state and federal securities laws in trying to block a takeover attempt by the outside faction. Joe Shoen also has filed a libel suit against his father. Joe and his brother, Mark, say their father libeled them by labeling them as possible suspects in the slaying of Eva Shoen. On Saturday, Kevin Lloyd Wisleder, 25, and Benjamin Reyes, 60, both of Phoenix, died in a head-on collision on Interstate 10 north of Marana. Also Saturday, Yi-Wen Kaison, 67, of Taiwan, was killed when the vehicle in which she was riding overturned 15 miles west of Peach Springs in northwestern Arizona.

The Mohave County Sheriffs Office said the woman was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. Three others in the vehicle were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries, officers said. By Jim Walsh The Arizona Republic At least eight people were killed in Arizona traffic accidents over the Memorial Day weekend, including two on Monday, authorities said. The Department of Public Safety said a passenger in an eastbound vehicle died Monday about 3 a.m. when the vehicle overturned on Interstate 40 between Ashfork and Seligman.

The victim's identity was not released pending notification of relatives. Another accident Monday morning, on Arizona 89A between Jacob Lake and Fredonia, killed one person, the DPS said. No further information was available. On Sunday evening, a Prescott Valley couple died when their eastbound vehicle was struck on East Yavapai Road by a westbound pickup truck driven by Randy W. Leftwich, 28, Prescott Valley police said.

Earl Lofstad, 65, and his wife, Katherine, 63, were pronounced dead at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Leftwich and a 4-year-old male passenger suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening.
