Neville, of Nodaway county, is in the pity visiting his cousin, O. Neville: Having been couliued to restaurant work for some time, he made the trip on his wheel for his health. He has also made a tour ot the Lakes. Dr. C.

G. Galloway started yesterduy for Chicago and, the east where be will spend three week's vacation. A report has been circulated to some exieiit to the effect that the lady who was shot from 'a cross at the circus and fell injuring her shoulder, died at Sioux Falls, but it is probably witjV out foundation.

In spite of the blight rain In the morning an immense crowd assembled to see the elephant and the circus. About 1:2,000 admissions were sold. It was a big day for Emmets- Dim: Bagan. an old spt tier and respected citizen of this conn ty, died July 22nd.

Mr" B.igari moved Emmet county about sixteen years ago and made his home on Section'JO. Lincoln township, where hp lived until last Thursday, when IIP departed this life after a sickness of several mouths. He was fifty-six years rf ate. and he leaves a wife and nine children to mourn his toss. The funeral services were held from the Catholic church.

Saturday morning, where an immense gathering of people assembled to pay a parting tribute to their honored friend. Mr. Bagan was ions Chris tian and never neglected the church nor his duties) toward it. often coming fourteen miles to attend service even when the weather was such as to kepp away many who lived hut a short distance from the church. remains were laid to rest in the cemetery south of town.

The funeral of Mr. II. 1). Nichols was held at his home in Emmetsbnrg yesterday. Mr.

Nichols was working on the bridge gang at White. Minnesota, under the xnpsi vision of P. Ilerner when he was instantly killed by a sudden caving in of an embankment. He was a member of the Masonic order and some of our Masons were present at the funeral. J.

B. and Peter Binford were callrd to Marshalltowii Sunday night by the news of the death of their brothei O. L. Minfoid. a prominent lawyer of that place.

They will start ou a small ecale and increase as business lequires it. They start the foundry at Wallingford because that is. near the homes of both men but undoubtedly when Estherville gets ready to do the right thing by them lu shape of bonus and support. they will move the business here. The sudden death of Edward D.

Doughty occured at his horue in Sibley last Tuesday night at twelve o'clock. Mr. Dougty arrived in Sibley from. Emmetsburg in usual health Suuday and went to his home where he was tukeu ill and sank rapidly, passing aw.iy lu three short days after the commencement of his illness. Uright's Disease is given the cause of his death, be having been alUicted with it for some jtime.

Mr. Doughty was a native of Scotland and was a well kuown figure in botn Sibley and Estherville from which place he came here about two years ago. He leaves a sorrowing wife and sou who have the sympathy -of many friends in their bereavement. The funeral held in the Methodist church today, Rev. Van Marter pf Little Hock conducting, and the remains were, laid to nest ill the Sibley Sibley Gazette.
