RESOLVED by the board of supervisors of Oneida county, Wiscon sin, that WHEREAS there are are always quite a number of parcels arriving lor the various ollices ol the courthouse each month, Ireight and express collect, and WHEREAS, at the present time these charges are usually made ou on separate invoices requiring separate listing when allowed, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a petty cash lund $10.00 to be used as a revolving lund be set up in the county clerk's olfici out ol which these bills can be paid. M. Oneida county board ol supervisors met pursuant to adjournment. Meeting called to order by Chairman C. E. Greene.

Roll call by County Clerk Lloyd D. Verage. All members present on roll call except Supervisor Whalen. A. J.

Leclaire ol the local ollifie ol the larm security administration jp 'and Mr. King ol their regional oflice talked to the board relative to the county providing Mr. LeClaire free ollice space in the courthouse. It was moved and seconded that the board authorize the public property committee to provide space in the courthouse lor the local larm security administration ollice. Motion carried, all members present voting M.

J. Beltz, chairman ol the salvage section of the Oneida county defense council, addressed the board relative to enlisting all agencies in the county which are working on various types ol salvage, to co-ordinate their activities to the end that Oneida county will supply as much salvage as possible without unnecessary duplication of eflort. A request lor an easement over the SE SW, Sec. 8 and the SW NE and WVi SE'A, Sec. 18-38-6, as tiled by the Wisconsin Public Service corporation, through their Minocqua oflice, was read.

Moved and seconded that the easement be granted over the lour descriptions owned by Oneida county, with the restriction that when the proposed highline parallels any road, said highli'ne must be constructed i at least one hundred (100) feet from the center line of the highway. Motion carried on roll call, 25 ayes, 0 noes, 2 absent. Supervisor A. D. Clements talked to the board relative to the county providing their highway patrol ecjuipment with a pressure can lor lighting small roadside fires.

Supervisor John J. O'Leary, chairman ol the lire lighting section of the county defense council advised that an ellort is being made to secure such equipment from the supplies the lederal government has stored at the vacant CCC camps in the county. Moved and seconded that Supervisor D. M. Anker be instructed to write the director of the Sixth corps area, Chicago, 111., in an effort to obtain such Irom the lederal government.

Motion carried, all members present voting aye. Financial statement of the Oneida county highway department's operations lor the period ol January 1, 1941, to December 31, 1941, was read. On motion, the report was accepted as read and placed on lile, all members present voting aye. First reading ol resolution No, 5. On motion, the board adjourned until 1:30 p.

E. D. Blxby talked to the board relative to coming tax measures and f. future obligations and suggested that if possible, the 1942 county budget lie re-examined with the thought in mind ol cllmiiuiliuK uuy possible un- necessary items, leaving the thought that the finance committee check nto the matter and report back to the May board meeting. Moved and seconded that the matter be referred to the resolutions committee with instructions to draft a resolution covering the subject.

Motion carried, all members present voting aye. Oh motion, the board recessed for 10 minutes. Board met pursuant to recess taken. First reading ol resolution No. 6.

6. Resolution ollered by resolutions committee. RESOLVED by the board ol supervisors of Oneida county, Wisconsin, that WHEREAS, our country is now at war, and WHEREAS, at the time the budget was adopted it was not anticipated that we would be in war, and WHEREAS, it is the duty-ol all government officials to conserve the funds of our government lor the purposes ol carrying on the war, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved'that all county officials be requested to cut the costs of their offices as much as possible, regard to the amount that was set up in the budget lor their department. To the Honorable County Board of Supervisors: Your zoning committee having held a hearing on the proposed amendment of the -Oneida county zoning ordinance as it affects the town of Lake Tomahawk as elirected i.n a resolution passed by the Coouty board of November 1941, copy of the minutes of said 'hearing being on in the ollice of the County clerk, and having review the approval of the town board to the proposed amendment, so far as the same affects the land said town, which said approval was given pursuant to a resolution adopted by the town board of Lake Tomahawk at a meeting held on the 18th day of February, 1942 Of certified copy of which'said resolution wias lied in the ollice of the County clerk of Oneid tl county on the 17th day of March, 1942. RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Oneida countv Wisconsin, That WllEREAS, Oneida county is in dire need of equipment for fire protection, and WHEREAS the Federal C.C.C. administration, has. larg-e amounts of equipment stored at various CCC camps in Oneida county, which equipment is being used at the present time. NOW THEREFORE, we, the County Board of Oneida county, Wisconsin, hereby petition James J.

McEntee, Administrator of -the Civilian Conservation corps at Washington, D. that such administration allow the County of Oneida the use of its stake trucks, pickup trucks, dump trucks, tractors, small tools, pumps and pumping equipment, such equipment being located in the County of On- at CCC camps, for use as lire protection equipment under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Conservation for the home defense program.
