We also wish to thank you for your understanding of the current water problems here at Fairview. We would like all flag owners whose loved ones passed away in 1970 or earlier to contact our office as to the disposition of your flag. If you do not wish to have it returned, we will fly the flag on our main staff until it becomes worn.

Each family will be notified when their flag is flown. This is intended to honor al veterans. Respectfully, The Management class officers participating in the program are Daphne Davis, secretary-treasurer, and John. O'Malley, vice-president. The DHS band will play "The Sinfonians" as the processional, and "March Triomphale" by Berlioz for the recessional.

While diplomas are presented, the band will perform "Pom and Circumstance." Other music on the program includes an original song "Movin' On Again," written and sung by a member of the class, Mary Malcom. The senior ensemble will sing the class song, "Looking For Space," by John Denver. The program opens with the presentation of colors by the Cadette Girl Scout Troop No. 537 and the pledge of allegiance. To assure seating for families of the graduating class, each senior is allotted six tickets to the commencement Commencement exercises for the DeKalb High School Class of 1977 will take place at the DHS gymnasium at 8 p.m.

Addressing the 335 graduates will be John W. Castle, Director of Local Governmental Affairs for the State of Illinois. Castle is a former attorney for the city of DeKalb and former chairman of the DeKalb County Board. Each graduate will wear a blue robe and carry a single flower. The processional, played by the DeKalb High School Concert Band, will be headed by the three top students of the senior class who are sharing the spot of valedictorian.

They are Paul Heald, Andy Brod and Frank Luedtke, who achieved a straight average throughout their four high school years. After introduction of the class by Principal Robert Brayfield, David Yaeger, President of the Board of Education, will present diplomas to the graduates.
