Weak rails and strong today created a mixed stock market In the late afternoon. Alrcrafts were up between 2 and 4 points In many instances while railroads sagged around a point. Most changes either way went to around a point. Business was brisk at an estimated 3,300,000 shares, the same as transacted in Monday's rising The market started higher but gradually eased off. Higher stocks included Boeing.

Douglas Aircraft, United Aircraft, Northrop, U. S. Steel, Chrysler, American Motors, American Telephone, International Paper, Baldwin Lima Hamilton, Western Union, Alleghany Chesapeake and Ohio, and American Airlines. Lower were General Motors, Sears Roebuck, Zenith Radio, Ken- necott Copper, Air Reduction. Westlnghouse Electric, American Can, Starrett, Baltimore and Ohio, Santa Fe, and U.

S. Gypsum. Cotton N. Y. Futures Lower NEW YORK, Nov.

30 futures were lower today as the market experienced persistent profit taking, following gains of the past week. Hedge selling was also in evidence. Offerings were absorbed through scale down mill buying and some commission house demand. Switching operations were active within current Liverpool was credited with buying 4,000 to 5,000 bales of May and July combined. A leading spot firm in its latest crop letter noted an improved mill demand for spot cotton.

There were no December transferable notices issued at New York. Noon cotton prices were 15 to 45 cents a bale lower than the previous close. Dec. 34.33, March 34.64 and May 34.88. Grain and Provisions Fort Worth Grains FORT WORTH, Nov.

March, May and July futures reached new seasonal peaks. Corn also was up while other grains were irregular and soybeans closed 1 3-4 to 3c lower. Corn finished 1-8 to l-2c higher and the July future reached a new seasonal peak. Prices were up 1 3-8c at one time, continuing the advance that got under way last week. Oats closed l-4c up to 3-8c down and rye l-4c up to l-2c down.

Wheat turned upward after an early decline ranging to 5-8c while soybeans met with heavy pressure after an early upturn of 1 l-2c. December wheat finished 1 3-8c up' at $2.23 3-8 a bushel; December corn 'l-8c higher at $1.58 1-8; December oats 3-8c down at 82 1-2; December rye l-2c off at $1.25 3-4 and January soybeans 1 3-4c low- tr at $2.85 3-4. Recently Ivan Rosenberg, one of tne originators of the Santa Glaus Club, now inoperative, asked that discarded toys which could be repaired be donated toward this project to provide children with gits at Christmas they might not otherwise receive. Corslcana's firemen have been enlisted as "Santa's Helpers" and will mend and repair toys given for this cause. Toys may be either sent or brought to the fire station or the Salvation Army. Stray Sergeant Boards Ship Oil Galvesten Isle HOUSTON, Nov. halting off Galveston to pick up a stray sergeant, a Navy transport Monday night sailed for Europe with 2,500 Air Force personnel. It was the first troop embarkation from Port Houston since 1951. In Europe the airmen, from George Air Force Base at Victorville, and Clovis, N.

AFB will be stationed in eastern France. The stray sergeant was put aboard the USNA General Leroy Eltlnge by a Galveston Coast Guard lighter. He was Staff Sgt. Hiss Helm Tells Club Of Family Service Miss AuRusrta Helm, who for 40 years has served the Family Service Association here as executive secretary, was sruest at the Corsicana Lions Club luncheon Tuesday. The program details weren't an, nounced. Mrs. Neal Bell Dies Al Wortham Mrs. Oria Mae Bell, 73, wife of Neal Bell, died at the family home in Wortham early Tuesday morning. Funeral services w.ill be held from the Union High Baptist church Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Burial will be in the Bpard Tree cemetery. The rites will be conducted by Rev. E. P. Coe, pastor of the First Baptist church in Wortham.

Mrs. Bell was a native of the Union High community. Surviving are her husband of Wortham; thro sons, Otis Dalian; Doyle Bell, Baton Rouge, and Paul Bell, Midland; two daughters, Mrs. D. D.

Stephens, Houston, and Mrs. Reuben Byers, Wortham; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, N. J. and W. A.

Black, both of Union High, and L. B. Black, Waco; three sisters, Mrs. D. T.

Sawyer, Dawson; Mrs. John Scott, Dallas, and Mrs. Frank Kovar, Marlow, and other relatives. Nephews will bo pallbearers. Corley will direct.
