Lyons, whb passed away on Friday evening* November 15 at Lutheran hos* pital, Port Dodge, as a result of a stroke he suffered while out hunting a week previous to' his death, were held in the Humboldt Methodist church at ilO o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial took place in the Memorial Park cemetery at Ames with graveside Masonic rites and taps sounded by Legionnaires'. He is survived by his wife Helene, one brother and three sisters and a host of friends. Leave After Viftii Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Eastman have returned to their home in Edgewood, Iowa, after a several days visit at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eastman. While they were here they were entertained. at several dinner parties, the last of which was a dinner party in Algona *iven in their honor by Mr. and Mrs. Loren Eastman. This will make two troops for Bode with 20 boys participating. The boys in senior scouting will take all three phases •-•of the senior branch. Fred Shay, a newcomer here, has joined the senior group. He is a life scout and will soon be ready for his Eagle badge. Birthday Dinner Held A 5 o'clock birthday dinner was held on Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Dr. T. M. Rossing home, honoring their son Dr. T. P. Rossing, whose Birthday occurred on that day. Dr. and Mrs. T. D. Rossing are spending their terminal leave here at the home of his parents. Those present at the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Merrit Ncal, Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Larsen and son Gary. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Guy Olson dropped in to spend the evening.
