Mike Slater and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Melby, Mrs. Alice Thompson were in Eustis, last Thursday for the funeral services for Merle Major who died at the age of 70 years.

Mr. Major is survived by his wife, Alice cuid his mother, Mrs. Pearl Major, 95 years old. Pearl Major is a sister of the late Lester Thompson. Mr.

and Mrs. Everett Johnson were in Salina for the 3rd birthdays of Nicole and Nataahia Piersee which occurred November 22. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Piersee.

Louis Fisher of Pablo, died November 19. He is survived by his wife the former Audrey Thomas of Scandia. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Vernon Erickson and Mrs. Leonard Freed.

Cleo Brewster has received word of the death of hia sister, Mrs. Maude Wisely at Taylor Ridge, HI, October 4. Mrs. Wisely, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Brewster of Scandia, was 84 years of age. She grew up in Scandia and attended the public schools. Mrs. Wisely was preceded in death by her husband, Fred and a son, Ronald. A daughter, Carolyn survives.

Mrs. Lula Waite's Thanksgiving guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Waite, Mrs. Clara Olson, Mr.

and Mrs. Mike Waite, Jennifer, Jared and Carie, Mr. and Mrs. MeWin Waite, Angela, David and Sarah, Concordia; Mr. and Mrs, Kevin Austin, Quentln; Kala and Afton, Osage City; Mr.

Randy McVey and Aimic of Garden City were Friday and Saturday guests of Mrs. Grace Robison. Mr. and Mrs, Jon Robison and Janae were Saturday dinner guests. Sunday, Mr.

and Mrs. Kenneth Moravek, Heath and Cassadie were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Moravek. Fred Ivans of Independence, 63, died November 6 in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Mona Lee Hohman Ivans of the home. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Brown, Mr. and Mrs.

Mark Brown, Miranda and Karen and Melanie Brown attended the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. John Robison and Janae were Thanksgiving guests of Adah and Edna Robison. Miss Vemice Swanson is a patient at the St.

Joseph Hospital in Concordia where she underwent surgery Friday. Pastor and Mrs. Robert E. Crofton have moved here from Shelbyville, 111, and will minister the Amana Lutheran Church. Mrs; Edith Norris and Mrs.

Grace Robison were Thanksgiving guests of Phil Smith at Concordia. Mr. and Mrs. David Scrivner, Kelsey and Kegan met Mr. and Mrs.

Marvin McCurdy in Manhattan Sunday for a Thanksgiving diimer. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Haug's guests during Thanksgivmg weekend were Hubert Smith, Arnold, Mr. and Mrs.

Thorton Doctor received word Monday of the death of his brother, Dudley Doctor at Ogden, Utah. Mr. Doctor died Monday, November 21 at his home. He is sivvived by his wife, Ruth of the home at his sons, Fred and Bob and a daughter, Sherry. Services and burial were in Utah.
