"Wyatt Earp" Trying not to look like the fastest remake (of last year's in the West, this film features Kevin Costner as Wyatt Earp, and tells an epic-sized story of loyalty among brothers and wives. Gene Hackman plays Daddy Earp, and Dennis Quaid is the sickly Doc Holliday.

Directed and co-written by Lawrence Kasdan. "Wolf" Wolf bites Jack Nicholson. Jack bites Michelle Pfeiffer. Can Nicholson, as a New York book editor transformed into a wolf, growl and grow fangs without making us laugh? We'll see. Shades of TV's "The Endless Summer II" Thirty years after the release of his film documenting the search for the perfect wave, Bruce Brown returns with a sequel chronicling the adventures of two California surfers. "Getting Even With Dad" A boy resorts to blackmail to persuade his ex-con father to turn over a new leaf.

Macaulay Culkin and Ted Danson star. "Widow's Peak" Natasha Richardson arrives in a village in Ireland where a local spinster (Mia Farrow) claims she is trying to kill her. Also starring Joan Plowright. Juliette Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones star. "Lassie" Lassie aids a family of novice sheep ranchers when angry neigh-, bors turn against them.

Starring Thomas Guiry and Helen Slater. "Color of Night" Richard Rush directs this erotic thriller about a psychiatrist (Bruce Willis) who becomes romantically entangled with a patient and caught in a mind game with a killer. "The Little Rascals" Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Darla and the rest of the gang return for more mischief in this feature-length comedy inspired by Hal Roach's long-running comedy series of the 1920s and '30s. "The Scout" A floundering scout for the New York Yankees sweats bullets as his new discovery (Brendan Fraser) shakes up the sports world with his baseball brilliance and eccentric behavior. "In the Army Now" Pauly Shore joins the Army to take advantage of PX shopping and medical benefits, but finds himself in combat.

"Camp Nowhere" A group of adolescents invents its own summer camp, in which days are filled with Nintendo, junk food and no rules. Starring Christopher Lloyd. "A Simple Twist of Fate" Steve Martin wrote and stars in this drama about a parent's effort to keep his adopted daughter despite demands from the biological father. "Eat Drink Man Woman" The greatest chef in Taipei and his unmarried daughters come to terms with their relationships in an ever-changing world. From the Jeff Bridges is the leader of an elite bomb squad, and matches wits with an ingenious bomber, played by Tommy Lee Jones.

"Baby's Day Out" An infant is the target of a big-city search. Joe Mantegna and Lara Flynn Boyle star. "Andre" A seal journeys hundreds of miles to be with his adopted family. Keith Carradine stars in this -adventure based on Harry Good-ridge's book "A Seal Called Andre." "Exit to Eden" Dana Delany is the headmistress of an island resort that caters to the sexual fantasies of its guests. She becomes involved with a daring photo journalist, jewel thieves and the police.

Also starring Paul Mercurio, Hector Eli-zondo and Rosie O'Donnell. "The Mask" Jim Carrey Ventura: Pet is a bank clerk whose fortunes change when he finds an ancient mask whose supernatural powers make him a green-faced superhero. "Just Like a Woman" Julie Walters plays a divorced London housewife who takes in a boarder (Adrian Pasdar) with a secret: He loves to dress up as a woman. "It Could Happen to You" Nicolas Cage plays an incorruptible New York City cop (isn't that like an honest politician?) who promises a lottery ticket to a bankrupt waitress. Bridget Fonda and Rosie Perez also star.

AUGUST "Natural Born Killers" Oliver Stone directs this thriller about two psychotic killers who are turned into media darlings by a tabloid journalist. Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey The Client" After he witnesses a suicide, a boy is targeted by the mob and a shady prosecutor. The street-wise kid hires a lawyer to protect him. Susan Sarandon, Tommy Lee Jones star. Based on Jofyn Gris-ham's best-seller.

"Black Beauty" Based on Anna Sewell's family classic, the film follows a black horse through two decades ofgood times and bad. "North" Elijah Wood files for separation from his mom and dad, and searches the world for more perfect parents. Bruce Willis, Jon Lov-itz, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander also star. Rob Reiner directs. "Angels in the Outfield" An optimistic youngster helps the last-place California Angels become contenders for the pennant.

Danny Glover, Tony Danza and Brenda Fricker star. "Little Big League" A 12-year-old boy inherits the slumping Minnesota Twins from his grandfather and tries to get the team to discover the child within as a formula for winning. Jason Robards and Luke Edwards star. "Forrest Gump" Tom Hanks plays a slow-witted man whose love for a special friend (Robin Wright) catapults him through some of the most remarkable events in history. "Clear and Present Danger" Harrison Ford reprises his role as the CIA's Jack Ryan.

This time Jack discovers an extraordinary connection between a Colombian drug cartel and a powerful friend. Willem Dafoe, Anne Archer and James Earl Jones also star. "Blown Away" mal appliances and the secretary who can "chisel 18 words a minute" are all realized with hilarious invention. This is a cartoon come to life the way a kid would envision it. Yet there's enough adult humor in The Flintstones to keep parents entertained, too.

Goodman stays true to, the cartoon by playing Fred like makers of "The Wedding Banquet." "Airheads" A rock roll band can't get arrested, until they take a radio station hostage. "Milk Money" A 12-year-old boy (Michael Patrick-Carter) and his pals pool their milk money to buy a glimpse of a real, live naked lady. Starring Me-lanie Griffith. "Blankman" Damon Wayans plays a self-appointed crime-stopper with no superpowers, no money and no name. His only source of power is his grandmother's housecoat-turned cape. Funny premise.

"The Next Karate Kid" Hilary Swank makes her debut as the new karate kid. Noriyuki "Pat" Morita reprises his role as the wise mentor. "Corinna, Corinna" Whoopi Goldberg" is a housekeeper who takes over the household of a newly widowed father and finds that she's the only person who's able to get through to his withdrawn daughter. The story is funny, and so are the actors But what makes The Flintstones such a blast is the care and attention given to creating a Stone Age civilization that looks real and zany at the same time. The foot-powered cars, the ani appearance and has fun clowning around as a nasty mother-in-law. You'll have to look fast to catch glimpses of the Hanna-Barbera team that created the Flintstones cartoon: Joe Barbera (as a man in a car) and Bill Hanna (as an executive in the boardroom). The actors take third place to the picture's creative design and the endlessly inventive visual Jackie Gleason in The Honey-mooners. Perkins has Wilma's voice and look down perfectly, yet comes across as more than a cartoon.

Moranis is a nicely underplayed foil for Goodman's boisterousness, while O'Donnell and her giddy laugh are kept in the background so she doesn't become annoying.
