Mi 71 Tropicana loser light Visitors to "The New Four Corners" of Las Vegas (Tropicana and the Strip) now can enjoy six free nightly laser light shows, courtesy of the Tropicana Resort and Casino. The laser light shows are presented in the new front island entrance of the Tropicana, "The Island of las Vegas," and can be viewed by the thousands of visitors who cross over the Pedestrian Skywalk System. Show times are 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:00, and 11:30 p.m.

"The Birth of an Island" (9 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.) features Madame Pele, the majestic, yet ill-tempered goddess of fire and ruler of all volcanoes. She is properly introduced by a driving beat of native drums, sparks of light, and fog covering the waterways of the outer island. Finally, there is an explosion. And there she is! Through song and dance, and with the help of her right-hand bird, Mono Polly, Madam Pele entertains Island visitors.

It's all odds new shows part of the magic of "The Island of Las Vegas," complemented by light, sound, and lasers. "Liquid Light Dreams" (9:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.) features Lanai, illusion of the sea and sister to all ocean inhabitants, who invites you to join in mind and spirit to explore the mysteries of the deep. Through the magic of laser animation, Kapu Ho, ruler of the Island reptiles, brother of Krakatoa, and son of Pele, warns visitors about enjoying yourself too much at the Tropicana: "Tread far from our abundant wildlife and luxurious lagoons. Thanks to the miracle of electronics, animated characters will solve all the problems of Island fever. The free nightly laser light shows are just part of the recent enhancements to the Tropicana, which include a new Preview Center that offers an entertaining look at the Trap's features, bird and wildlife habitats, and colorful "Caribbean Village" facade.
