Saturday, September 14,1968 Janesville Daily Vows Said by LeRoy E. Brekke and Miss Kay Ann Brentlinger (Evans Studio) IS MARRIED Mrs. Kurt Paul Kroll was Miss Shirley Jean Edwardson before her marriage Sept. 7 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Edwardson, Milton, and Maj. and Mrs. Edward Kroll, Oxon Hill, Md.

Mount Zion United Methodist Church was the scene at 2 p.m. today for the marriage of Miss Kay Ann Brentlinger and LeRoy Edward Brekke. The Rev. Earl W. Reichert was the officiating clergyman for the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Donald A. Brentlinger, 26 S. Lexington Drive, and the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Edward Brekke, Dalton. The bride wore a floor- length silk ribbed ottoman gown trimmed with lace. A headdress of pearls and crystals was worn to secure her shoulder-length veil and she carried yellow chrysanthemums and white roses. Duties of the maid of honor were carried out by Miss Deanna Williams. The Misses Carolyn Cleveland, Annette Balk and Lona Markofske were bridesmaids.

The best man was Dennis Jackowski. Aides were escorted by Dennis Brekke, Ted Brentlinger and Bruce Smith. Sharing ushering duties were John Trimbell and Morris Vinz Jr. Serving as flower girl and ring bearer were Mary Wakefield and Jay Brekke. More than 250 guests are being received this afternoon in the church parlors.

The nuptial pair will moon in Northern Wisconsin and Canada and make their home at 302 E. Main Madison after Sept. 21. The bride is a 1965 graduate of Janesville High School and attended Whitewater State University and Madison Area Technical College. She received an associate degree in fashion merchandising from the latter and is employed at i ls-Schusters Department Store, Madison.

A 1966 alumnus of Markesan High School, the bridegroom re- deived a diploma in machine shop at Madison Area Technical College. He is employed at Portage Plastics Portage. Mrs. Richard St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary has planned a potluck dinner for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home. A dish sale is planned.

World War I Auxiliary 2314 meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Clubhouse. A memorial service will be held for Elizabeth Murphy and officers are to be elected. The American Legion Auxiliary will not meet Tuesday but will attend the dinner meeting of the Rock County Council American Legion Auxiliary at Clinton. Janesville Retired Teachers will meet at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday at Krause's Town and Country Restaurant. There is to be a discussion on insurance. WED IN NEW Miss Raechel Murray became the bride of Lucien DeBuys O'Kelley Sept. 7 in New Orleans. She is the daughter of Dr.

and Mrs. Victor S. Falk, Edgerton, and he is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. O'Kelley, New Orleans.

Loyal Duty Club meets for dessert at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Mrs. Esther Johnson, Avalon. Madison School PTA convenes at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the multipurpose room of the school.

Mrs. Kenneth Kitelinger will speak on education and the child. Clarence Fox will speak on school boundaries at the 7:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday of Lincoln School PTA. Classroom visitation is planned.

Lloyd D. Hocking, Rt. 1, Janesville, are parents of the bride. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Elmer Masters, Madison, and the late Mr.

Masters. Miss Jean Christensen was maid of honor and Ronald Smith served as best man. They are honeymooning in Northern Wisconsin and will live in Monroe. The bride is a student at the of Wisconsin. A 1965 graduate of the UW, the bridegroom is a child welfare worker for the Green County Department of Social Services, Monroe.

Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Madison. The bridegroom graduated from Madison High School and is owner of the Contract Carpet Service, Madison. Representatives of the State Catholic Junior League began arriving here today for the state fall conference to be held tomorrow at the Holiday Inn. An informal buffet dinner will be served by Mrs. Willard Ness, 1227 Ruger tonight for officers and members from Racine, Kenosha, Eau Claire, Manitowoc and Janesville.

The first event of the all- day session will be a Mass at 8:30 tomorrow morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The business meeting will convene at 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn under the direction of Mrs. Ness, state president.

The meeting will resume following the 1:30 p.m. luncheon. The final event is a tour of Tallman House. The Rev. Roger Taylor, associate pastor of St.

Mary's parish will be conference speaker. Father Taylor came to Janesville in 1967 from Madison. He was ordained May 30, 1964. following graduation from St. Francis Seminary.

Father Taylor is chaplain for the Scores and is serving on the Big Brother Program Committee. He is a member of. the Rock Deanery and serves as chaplain for the state and local Catholic Junior League. Mrs Ness has held numerous offices and chairmanships in the local club and served as its president in 1965-66. She is a member of the Henry Janes Questers, Roosevelt PTA and den mother for Pack 409.

She is the mother of two sons. State officers in addition to Mrs. Ness are: Mrs. Howard Took, Janesville, secretary- treasurer; Mrs. Allen Longmeyer, Manitowoc, presidentelect: Mrs.

Theodore Edwards. Janesville, Mantle editor, --H on Mnran, Janesville Mantle business manager. The Catholic Junior League, which is affiliated with the Wisconsin Council of Catholic Women, was organ'zed here in 1950. Onen to all Catholic women between 18 and 35, the organization has 60 members. The two main local fund raising events are the annual feather party held each November and the fashion show held each spring.

Norman Glaedcn, state vice president from Janesville, will preside with two vice presidents from Region Three, Mrs. David Reisinger, Sparta, and Mrs. Brad Hubing, Stoughten. Mrs. Glaeden will hostess a "brainstorming session" for the eight chapters Sept.

28, at her home. Presidents, state directors and state officers will attend the session to plan the Oct. 19 event. Jaycettes will participate in the annual Jaycee convention in December. Sessions will be held at the Sands Hotel, Milwaukee.

today in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church by Miss Deborah Ann Burnam and Michael Thomas Moe. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack P. Burnam.

The bridegroom's parents are Mrs. Melvin Kohl and Palmer Moe. The new Mrs. Moe carried white carnations and yellow roses in a colonial bouquet and wore a gown of silk organza accented with lace pliques. Her silk illusion veil was held in place by a double bow outlined with pearls.

The bride asked Miss Sharon Paukert to assist as honor attendant. The Misses Lynn Berto, Kathleen Piuitone and Pamela Burnam were bridesmaids. Cathy Withrow and Carol Kohl were flower girls. The bridegroom was attended by Thomas Roehl. The aides were escorted by Jerry Moe, Thomas Burnam and Patrick Moe.

Ushers were Keith Jeffers, Roger Haugen, Phillip Cacciatore and Bruce Cioni. James Schmitt and Daniel Lehman. They were assisted by the Misses Mary and Sue Lehman, Mrs. Loren Schroeder, Loren Schroeder, James Lehman, Edward Schroeder and James Schroeder. For her wedding the former Miss Schroeder chose a gown of silk organza and chantilly lace. Sequins enhanced the gown.

A scalloped crown detailed with pearls and crystals secured her bouffant veil of silk illusion. She carried yellow roses in a cascade arrangement. The Lehmans are receiving more than 350 wedding guests in parish hall. A reception and buffet is planned with a dance following at Turner Hall, Watertown. After Oct.

Jaycettes send birthday cards, gifts and birthday cakes to women at Alpha House, Rock County Home each month. Jaycettes plan to contribute money, gifts and supplies to hospitals and medical centers started by Dr. James Turpin in Vietnam. Mrs. Robert Venable and Mrs.

Glaedcn will attend the Easter Seal Society meeting in Madison this month. Mrs. Venable is Jaycette cerebral palsy chairman and Mrs. Glaeden is a member of the board for the Easter Seal Society. Assembly Names Mrs.

Gage Jr. Mrs. Louis D. Gage was elected president of the Past Presidents Assembly this week at a luncheon at Krause's Town and Country Restaurant. Elected with Mrs.

Gage were: Mrs. Albert Curler, vice president; Mrs. Duane Simmons, secretary, and Miss Cecelia Oestreich, treasurer. Members voted to donate $5 for. scholarship fund.

Mrs. Gage, first district president will be chairman of the First District of Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs Convention to be held Oct. 15 at the Woman's Club. The convention will he hosted bv the Past Presidents Assembly, MacDowell and Arts Clubs. Miss Oestreich will entertain assembly members at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 2. Medicare Is Topic Larry Schleusner, field representative of the Social Security Office, will speak at the Senior Citizen's Center at 1:30 p.m. Monday. His subject is "All About Medicare." A question and answer session and coffee hour will follow the program.

Chidester and Staver Bridal Held The Rev. F. J. Fitzpatrick was the officiating clergyman for the marriage at 10 a.m. today of Miss Cheryl Ann Staver and James Allen Chidester.

The service was in St. William Catholic Church and the reception is to be held this afternoon at tha Veteran of Foreign Wars Club. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James Staver, 209 N.

Pearl St. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Clara Chidester, Confluence, and the late Mr. Chidester. The bridal gown was fashioned of silk organza and accented with chantilly lace and seed pearls.

Her bouffant silk illusion veil was caught to a double crown of pearls and crystals. The bridal flowers were pink roses. Mrs. Donald McCallum was matron of honor and Rita Griffin assisted as flower girl. Donald J.

McCallum was best man and Floyd J. McCallum was usher. The ring bearer was Donald McCallum Jr. The newlyweds have postponed their honeymoon to Pennsylvania until Christmas. Their new address will be 209 N.

Patrick's Catholic Church and repeated their nuptial vows. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sterk, 108 S. Academy and Mr.

and Mrs. Lewis Morris, Manitou Springs, Colo. A silk organza and chantilly lace gown was the choice of the bride. She wore a matching headdress in forward petals and detailed with pearls and crystals to secure her bouffant silk illusion veiling. Tinted blue carnations and Retirement Club Names Oiiicers Mrs.

Al Heon was reelected president of the United Rubber Workers Retirement Club this week. Others reelected were Miss Minette Knopp, vice president; Mrs. Dennis Burchell, secretary, and Mrs. James Lenarz, treasurer. Named to the executive board were Mrs.

Fred Clatworthy, Mr, and Mrs. Franklin Clough, Jess Davis and Edwin Hill. Miss Knopp was named publicity chairman and Mrs. Dennis Burchell and Mr. and Mrs.

George Birmingham were assigned to the sunshine committee. William Watson conducted the election at the Labor Temple. A potluck luncheon will be held at noon Oct. 10 at the Johnstown Community Hall. Members plan a strip to Cassville Oct.

29. OES Study Class Entertains Guests The OES Study Class and their guests will meet for a 1 p.m. dessert luncheon with cards Tuesday at the Masonic Temple. Assisting with luncheon arrangements are Mmes. Paul Ware, Fred Chapman, Gilbert and Robert Schaller.

Arrangements for the card party were made by Mmes. Leon Jones, Victor Langer, Elmer Cullen, Donald Upson, O. M. White and Allen Berger. MRS.

LEE PERRY Miss Fall Is Married to Perry BATTLE CREEK, At 2 p.m. today in the Chapel Hill Methodist Church, Miss Catherine Cheryl Fall became the bride of Lee Roy Robert Perry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan B.

Fall, Battle Creek. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Earl McLean. 618 S. Pearl St.

Mrs. Eddie McCluskey appeared as matron of honor. The Misses Dawn and Donna McLean, twin sisters of the bridegroom, were bridesmiads with Miss Sheila Anne Fell and Miss Diane Deerwester. The bridegroom had Eddie McCluskey as his best man. Other men in the bridal party included Robert Fell, Michael McLean, Ray Jensen and Kenneth Potter.

A reception is being held for the pair this afternoon in the church parlors. They will honeymoon at the Wisconsin Dells. The new Mrs. Perry graduated from Lakeview High School. Battle Creek, and Kellogg Community College, Battie Creek with an associate in applied commerce degree.

She is in the legal department of the Federal Life and Casualty Battle Creek. The bridegroom attended JanesvUle High School and is attending Kellogg Community College. He is associated with the Air Force and Preston Shoe Store. white roses filled her colonial bouquet. The matron of honor was Mrs.

La Pod's Supper Club is the setting for the reception this evening. A wedding dinner for the immediate families and bridal party was held earlier. The pair will honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin. The former Miss Sterk is a 1963 graduate of Janesville High School and is employed at Borg Insruments, Delavan. A 1965 alumnus of La Farge High School, the bridegroom has just returned from Vietnam where he has been stationed with the Army.
