Deacon Steve received a Master's Degree in Pastoral Theology in 1993 from the University of San Francisco. Steve spent two years in the U.S.

military being honorably discharged in 1955. In 1954 Steve was married to Joan Haas at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Scarsdale, New York. After moving to Arizona in 1958 Steve worked three jobs to support his growing family. a position as a directory salesman with Mountain Bell was ordained to Holy Orders as permanent Deacon on appointed by Bishop McCarthy to start the Family Life of Phoenix. Deacon Steve was also the Spiritual Advisor Columbus at St.

Clare's Parish. 84, was born in Milano, Texas, March 13, 1927 and went to live in his heavenly home on October 25, 2011. He will always be treasured as a Christian, loving husband, devoted father, doting granddad, loyal brother and friend. He was a steadfast member of First Institutional Baptist Church for over 50 years. He loved his church; He loved his family. Daniel worked as Chief Microbiologist at Maricopa County Hospital for 34 years.

During those years, he helped integrate the health system and served as mentor to students interested in the field. In his later years, Daniel was an avid reader and astute bible student who also enjoyed playing golf and nourishing his grand children. Daniel Myers, Sr. is survived by his three children; Cheryl Anne Myers, Daniel Myers Jr. and Lisa Lynn Tucker.

He also leaves behind daughter in law Yvonne Myers and son in law Derwin Tucker along with five grand-children, a great-grand child, brother Vollie Myers, his wife Lillian, and countless nieces and nephews. He was born June 2, 1929 in Lakeside, AZ to Joseph Arley Peterson and Coral Shumway. Leo was raised in Lakeside and Snowflake. When he was nineteen, he served a two-year religious mission in the eastern states. He then served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, where he was stationed in Austria. Leo married Norma Jean Williams on July 1, 1955 in the Mesa AZ Temple.

He taught agriculture and welding classes at Westwood High School until 1986, when he retired after teaching 30 years. He was known affectionately by his students as "Pete." During this time Leo trained the Meats Judging Teams in the FFA program, and enjoyed helping them win numerous competitions. Leo served his church as Bishop of the Mesa 13th Ward from 1979 to 1984. Above everything else, he was a devoted and loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Jean, his children Mark (Jerri Ann), Verle (Vicki), Leilene Tieman (Paul), Dana Haws (Edwin), Le Borman (Rick), Darren, 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers.

After a courageous battle with dementia he passed away peacefully at the Silverado care center in Scottsdale.

Gordon was born and raised in Springfield, Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota. Gordon was the son of the late Hugo H. Prechel and Martha (Radtke) Prechel and was the beloved husband of Sharon Ray (Thompson) Prechel. Gordon will forever be remembered by his surviving wife Sharon, his brother Norbert H. Prechel, his sons Jay and Tim, his grandchildren Joshua, Brett and Sharon and countless other friends and family.

Gordon and Sharon Arizona in 1960 where he continued his work as a Jourand Shop Manager. He then joined Herrscher Conbecame a partner. At the time of his death, Whit was Managing Partner of Catalyst Development Partners a boutique design-build real estate company working on both multi-family apartment concepts and largescale solar photovoltaic systems for commercial real estate.

He was a LEED Accredited Professional, licensed General Contractor and prior to forming Catalyst, was Southern California Vice President of Wentz Group and a Senior Project Manager with Snyder Langston. He was devoted to his wife, Jill, whom he met and began dating at NAU in 1998 and married in 2009. Jill is expecting their first child in February. Whit was a loving son and a caring brother. Whit was an inspiration to us all, as he lived every day as if it was his last.

He truly marched to the beat of his own drum. Whit was Whit. He was intensely passionate about all he held dear, most importantly, love of his family, friends, fun, and work. He could light up a room with his infectious smile. To sum up Whit, his mother-in-law, Judy Crane, nicknamed him "WOW" Wonderful Outstanding Whit.

Supporting various outreach and professional organizations, Whit was an active member of the community. He was a board member of NAIOP SoCal, Chair of the Alumni Committee of Young Professionals Group (YPG), a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), and a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Whit was also a member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization, where he was recently assigned his first "little brother" to mentor. Whit is survived by his wife Jill Crane Riske: his baby girl-to-be, Scarlett; his parents, Chuck and Carolyn Riske; sister, Robin Riske (Mason Myers), brother, Kurt Riske; and grandmother, Wynona Benz. James Lee Col. James Lee Foster, USAF of Glendale, Arizona, passed away in his home Monday, October 31, 2001 at the age of 80. He was January 10, 1931 in Marion, Ohio to the late Leroy Ellen Foster. Much of his childhood was spent on his Grandparents farm in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.

In 1943 the family moved to Tucson, Arizona where Jim graduated from Tucson High School. At age 20 he enlisted in the USAF and was accepted into the Aviation Cadets In 1953 he graduated from pilot training as a Second Lieutenant received his wings, and achieved his boyhood dream of becoming a pilot. He was assigned to the 48th fighter wing in Chaumont, France where he was selected team. In 1954 while on leave visiting his family in Albuquerque, New Mexico he met Evelyn Renee Northrup. They continued to write to each other, and Jim proposed marriage.

She flew to Chaumont and on February 17, 1956 they were married. Here their daughter Kimberly was born. In 1957 Jim was transferred to Clovis, New Mexico where their second daughter Chris was born. Other assignments included Turkey, and then Luke AFB in Arizona. While stationed here Jim flew the F-100 and was an instructor pilot, transitioned to the F-104 Starfighter, and in 1967 served in Vietnam.

He became a Squadron Commander and as an instructor pilot he trained German pilots at Luke on the F-104. In 1973 he was promoted to full Colonel and appointed as the USAF advisor to the Ambassador in Bonn, Germany and was stationed there until retiring to Glendale in 1975. During his military service Jim received the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Legion of Merit Awards. He is the designer of the Arizona State Vietnam Veteran's War Memorial located at the capitol building in Phoenix. His design was then used as a model for the National Women's Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C Jim lost his wife Eve in a tragic car accident in 1994.

He filled those lonely days enjoying his family which now included two Son in laws and 6 grandchildren. In 2001 he met the lovely Dorothy Brooks at the El Charro restaurant in Scottsdale, and they were married in 2003. They have enjoyed 8 years of marriage, and Dorothy has been a loving wife, and caregiver to Jim. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved his country, his family and life. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Kim Norris and her husband Robin, daughter Chris John and husband Dale, seven grandchildren; Mollie Pottle and her husband Jared, Tessa Davis and husband Adam, Jamie Davis and husband Jordan, Katie Price and her husband Aaron, Jacie John, Evelyn John and only Grandson Joshua John.

Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the LDS Chapel 8702 W. Campbell, Phoenix 85037, with a viewing at 10:00 and services at 11:00. She volunteered her time and energy for countless organizations including Maricopa County Medical Auxiliary, Phoenix Museum of History, Phoenix Symphony Guild, and Bank. Always active in her church, Peggy was currently Joachim, Edna Glodava Desert Mission Food of Sun Lakes, AZ, died on October 31, 2011 in Chandler, AZ. She was born on November 3, 1924 in Hackensack, NJ. Edna lived in Glen Rock, NJ until 1995 when she moved to Sun Lakes.

She is survived by her husband Paul E. Louis, Missouri in 1928, and moved to Arizona in 1962. He served two tours in the US Marine Corps on the Carrier Leyte. Ken was Production Manager at Carnation Company for 29 years and Production Manager of Shamrock Foods for 10 years. There wasn't a finer man to share a campfire with. Ken loved his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.

A better husband, father and grandfather doesn't exist. Ken loved hunting and will be remembered for his hilarious stories. He was known as a straight shooter, both while hunting and in his relationships with people. Ken is survived by his daughter, Lynda Luiten of Tucson, AZ, and his son, Doug Schulz of Gilbert, AZ, and four grandchildren, Ken Luiten, Rebecca Luiten, Erica Schulz and Danielle Schulz. He was a Certified Behavioral Health Technician for 10 years and a Certified Welder for the past 3 years working with his father. Cody was a loving, caring, and compassionate person.

He loved Rodeo, Football, and Baseball and he competed and played all three. He leaves behind his loving son Coby, his beautiful daughter Ryenn, his brother Matthew, and his sister Andrea. Cody was a beloved son, grandson, husband, father, nephew, salt friend. He will be dearly missed. Each of us has Cody you will live in our hearts forever.

He was an engineer with Phoenix Unified School District for over 25 years and spent the last 30 years as a Volunteer for the Mormon Lake Fire Department. Art is survived by his wife, Beverly; children Patricia Stringer (Dennis), Judith Bullard, Robert Tompkins (Norma) and William Tompkins (Martha); step children Catherine Looney, Victoria Schimmell, Richard Rhoades (Terri), Kellie McBroom (Ernie) and Sherry Boyer (Ben); 30 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and sister Dorothy Kilbourn. Arthur was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Tompkins. A Memorial Service will be held Sat. Nov.
