B12 THE AGE MONDAY 3 FEBRUARY 1997 METROTV TV tonight Simon Hughes stars as Mallory series Twisted Tales. Nine, 9.30pm. Hitter's Henchmen SES, 8.30pm Of all the chief Nazis, Albert Speer came out of it with some remnants of his reputation intact. According to new evidence, however, it seems he must have known early on about the murder of the Jews. His denial of the fact was always the bedrock of his rehabilitation.

Twisted Tales Nine, 9.30pm Tram riders see it every day: motorists who regard pedestrians as obstacles to their progress. In the case of Mallory (Nadine Garner), she scores a direct hit. Will she stop and help her victim, as the law demands, or flee? There are some things, naturally, from which it is impossible to run. Australia's Most Wanted Seven, 7.30pm It must be an odd sort of gig for an actor to impersonate a reallife crim and then walk down the street hoping to God some honest soul doesn't decide to make a citizen's arrest. You wonder what the clear-up rate is for out-of-work performers.

Heartbreak High Two, 6pm Now little resembling the series that came on with such attitude in its first seasons, Heartbreak High is more high-minded soapie these days. It perhaps reflects the Hartley High gang, who shortly will be facing the challenges of life after school. Oh baby, it's a wild world. Films on TV Paul Harris Red Heat (1988) One of Walter Hill's less memorable action thrillers relies too heavily on the low-octane camaraderie between a stone-faced Russian policeman (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his yobbo Chicago counterpart (James Belushi). The gags about the contrast between Soviet socialist supremacy and Yankee capitalist decadence soon wear thin.
