in the Friendship Baptist Church in the Friendship community of Leon County. A native of Jewett, Mr. Thompson died Tuesday in Methodist Memorial Hospital Houston. He was employed with the railroad. Officiating will be Elder Lee Brown.

Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery, under direction of the Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife of Jewett; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Lee Hogg of Dallas; a son, L. C. Thompson of Dallas; a sister, Mrs.

More than 1,753 receipts plates have been reported to the office of the county tax assessor-collector, with, many more to be reported when area offices begin making final reports. "There will be twice this many when all receipts are in," an official in the tax assessor- collector office said.

Money taken in for license plates will be divided, between Limestone County and the state. The county receives all of the first $50,000 on license plate purchases, but thereafter, gets 50 per cent. The remainder goes to the state. There are 9,726 vehicles in the county, according to the official rols. The average cost per license To date, the county has $117,225.58 in revenue from 1963 registrations.
