Mr. and Mrs. William Lauck had as guests at their home Sunday for dinner in honor of their nephew Charles Schrheling, Who just recently returned from the European theater of war, Mr. and Mrs. William Schmeling of Windom, Minn.,- parents of Charles; Sandra' Weedman, a niece; and Mrs. Fritz Oilman, Emmetsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schmeling; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tietz; and Mr. and Mrs. William Zimmerman. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Bruhn, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Seely, and Mrs. Wililam Ostwald attended the funeral of an uncle John Nissen, who passed away in a hospital at Charles City Tuesday evening, suffering a stroke. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon 'at Rockwell. Mr. and Mrs. George Meyer were' called to Charles City Monday to the bedside of Mrs. Meyers' brother. The latter also attended. .
