TOE ADVERTISEMENT HM YOU'LL A Iboheys? YaEi Siiip After seven years of planning and eighteen months of construction, Australia's Wonderland opens to the public this weekend. It's been a mammoth project and a boon for Sydney's West. During these many months the park has employed 900 people and when the doors opened officially yesterday a further 1200 trained staff took up their positions to ensure visitors the very best in entertainment and service. As Keith James said "Australia's Wonderland is unlike any other entertainment around. It's a clean, safe place where everyone in the family can have hours and hours of fun all for the single price.

Our admission price includes all rides and stage shows. There is no additional charge for rides and shows inside the park. Our goal is to provide our guests the greatest fun they'll ever have, each time they visit." And visit they will. A conservative estimate for its first year is 1.6 million visitors. The park's Marketing Director, Mr Bill Mefford, said the park will cater for 18,000 people a day.

He went on to add, "We expect to attract people from all over Australia. The immediate catchment area alone is one million people. In many ways it will be like Disneyland when it first opened in 1955, a real novelty and tourist spot." And plans are already in place to build a new attraction each year. Basically now it is divided into three separate themed areas, Medieval Faire, Goldrush and Hanna Barbera Land. Each area is a mini-city in its own right, with its own particular architecture and style and could keep you occupied all day.

There are rides, stage shows, wandering entertainers, all unique to the Fantasy Land you're visiting. In fact we recommend you to do and see your favourite things first so you don't stand to miss out. Wonderland looks to be a family favourite and with the bicentenary year around the corner when international eyes are upon us it will be good to know that we can offer not ony a glorious country but entertainment facilities that are world-class. LARGEST SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE has been spent ensuring Australia's Wonderland can offer its guests world class entertainment in a fun filled beautifully landscaped park. From securing world class rides and dazzling stage shows to the uniforming and training of its staff, Wonderland has sought quality and the very best of everything available.

Even the food will take on a new emphasis with attention being given to quality ingredients and nutritions. available acreage it could well succeed it in size in future years. Keith James, Managing Director of Wonderland had an impressive career record in successful Theme Park Management before taking up the task of building Wonderland. The park is owned by a joint venture partnership, the Taft Broadcasting Company, James Har-die Industries, Leighton Holdings and the State Superannuation Board. Over $65 million dollars Australia has not seen the likes of Wonderland before.

It is everything our childhood dreams were made of. Nestled on a 219 hectare site at Minchin-bury, 6km west of Black-town it hails as the largest and newest theme park in this half of the world. In fact it is just short of being as big as Disneyland and with growth plans and the You'll hold your breath as you watch the swash-kicking pirates jostling aboard their tall ship The Buccaneer. An energetic show has pirates spiralling into the "Endeavour Bay, spectacular and daring stunt display of The Tooheys' Tall Ship' is the centrepiece of the Park, in the heart of Medieval Faire and is just one of the many attractions awaiting guests of Wonderland. i4' WkiSSSitS i'if- Entertainment for the whole family fSB t.
