Miss Jeanne Ericksen played a piano'solo, Mrs, R. L. Gowan read two poems, Mrs. Janet Schuler and Jeanne Erickson sang .a vocal duct; Mrs. Harold Pclersen read an original poem, written for the bride; Mary Patterson played two piano selections, and Mrs. Ralph Wcisbrod sang "I Love You Truly" Little Armand Gowen as Santa Claus brought, the bride several slerl loads of both beautiful and useful gifts. following the opening of thF pifts refreshments were served Mr-. Leon Dehnert, who had been in Kansas visiting relatives, returned to Mason City a few days a9o and after visiting his brother Clifford :'nd family there, came to Algona, Saturday, where he will remain until after the holidays. Lt. end Mrs. Mark Stanlon and baby son. James Mark, are expected Friday from Columbia, S. C.. for a ten-day visit with the former's mother, Mrs. Josephine Stanton. They are en route to Detroit where: Lt. Stanton is being I'-ansfeiTccl. Ray Barton has been ill for the past three weeks with the £lu and bronchitis. Ray is one of the city employees and this is the first lime lie has ever missed helping put up the Christmas street decorations. He hasn't even been able to sec them this year. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Mowers and Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Mowers of Norlhwood came Saturday for a visit at the Charles La Barre home. The A. C. Mowers are parents of M. J. Mowers and remained for the weekend. The M. J.
