Klaus, 55, a swamp- er from Houston, and his wife, Mrs. Alliza Klaus, 51, spent Sunday night and Monday in Columbus hospital, where they were treated for cuts and bruises. Mrs. Klaus suffered a cut across the forehead. Tko young boys with them also were bruised.

MOORE County Agent, Colorado County Gilt Show Winner To Compete for $450 At Bryan A registered Duroc gilt owned placed first in the county 4-H Sears gilt show held in Columbus Saturday morning. Second place went to Darwin Brokmeyer of Frelsburg.

Judge for the show was W. Mcinseher of Belivillc, formerly coun ty agricultural agent-ef Austin coun ty now retired. Other boys exhibiting gilts In thi show were Alfred Mlchalke and Thomas Kainer of Weimar and Raymc Kubesch of Nada. The gilts in the county show the pigs awarded to the 4-H Club boys in the Seara swine program thin year. To Bryan Next On Saturday, October 23, Tlu will exhibit his gilt at the area show to be held in Bryan.

Also exhibiting from the county will be Warsehak of Zimmerscheidt, of the registered Duroc boar fo county program. These two boys will be competing with winners from Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, Walker and Washington counties approximately in prize mom to be awarded at the area show. This program, started in the coui ty this year for the purpose of helping 4-H members get a start with a igistered hog program, is designed that it can be continued with dif- irent boys participating each year.
