Miss Mary Leora Ehrlinger, Andrew Archer Degen Marry (Vera's photo) MRS. ANDREW DEGEN Miss Mary Leora Ehrlinger, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George, Gutmann, 115 Jackman became the bride of Andrew Archer Degen at 2 p.m. today.

Mr. Degen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Degen, Wantagh, N.Y. The Rev.

Sylvan Moe officiated for the former Miss -Zhrlinger and Mr. Degen in the Lutheran Church. The bride wore a white velvet bridal gown with Victorian styling, empire bodice and Aline full-length skirt. Venice lace detailed the gown. A tiara of maching lace was worn by the bride to hold her bouffant english silk illusion veiling.

White and gold flowers filled her bouquet. Mrs. Clarence Falk assisted, the bride as matron of honor. Donald Degen was the best man. Wedding guests were ushered by Paul and Robert Degen.

Mrs. Howard Boatwright, Syracuse, N.Y., was the vocal soloist. Mrs. Boatwright is the bride's aunt. Wedding guests attended the reception in the home of the bride's parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Degen plan to honeymoon in Chicago. After Oct. 29 they will live at 2 Wescott Syracuse, N.Y..

The new Mrs. Degen is a 1967 graduate of Janesville High School and a 1969 graduate of Cazenovia College, Cazenovia, N.Y. Mr. Degen is an alumnus of Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., and is assistant manager of the Syracuse Symphony. Sandra Pope Becomes Comedy, Mrs.

Paul Leo Aurit 'Dear Liar 7 At 2 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Miss Sandra JaynePope became the bride of Paul Leo Aurit. The Rev. Bernard E.

Pierick officiated. The former Miss Pope is the Mrs. Jean Farris, 1507 S. Marion Ave. Mr.

and Mrs. Leo Aurit, 904 Glen are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride's Victorian styled A-lirie skimmer gown was of illusion and lace. She wore a cathedral mantilla trimmed -with chantilly lace and held in place by a toque. Yellow roses were her flowers.

The maid of honor was Miss Colleen Grossman. The Misses Ardis Roethe and Carla Farris were bridesmaids. Mr. A'urit was attended by Michael Connell. Thomas Eckerman and Thomas Boylen, assisted as groomsmen.

Ushers were James Eagen and Rockney Farris. Mr. and Mrs. Aurit received their 200 guests during the reception in the Cordovan Inn. Destination of their wedding trip was not disclosed.

'-I V- Federation of Music Clubs Holds 39th Fall Conference HO" Clubs of the First District of the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs met recently for the 39th annual fall convention in Burlington. Junior and senior clubs of Janesville, Beloit, Burlington, Kenosha, Racine and Whitewater comprise the First District.

Mrs. Lloyd Hughes, 517 Muir Janesville, was elected treasurer of the district. Her term is two-years. Mrs. Hughes, active in local musical groups, is vice president of the Fine Club of Janesville.

She is a member of the Janesville MacDowell Club and serves as organist of the First Congregational Church of the United Church of Christ. Officers reelected for two- year terms were: Mrs. Louis Gage Janesville, president; Mrs. Gilmore Gulbranson, Burlington, vice president and Mrs. Walter Schwebke, Beloit, secretary.

Mrs. Gage is active in Janesville musical organizations, now serving as secretary of the Fine Arts Club; corresponding secretary of the MacDowell Club, and president of the Janesville Chapter of the Past Presidents Assembly. Miss Alice Walter, Burlington, president of the WFMC, was the featured speaker of the convention. A musical program presented by Mmes. Richard'Jones and David Harch, accompanied by Mrs.

C. Church during Women's Day with the Arts at the University of Wisconsin Tuesday. The event is sponsored each spring and fall by the Wisconsin Alumni Association for all state women. Billed as "a comedy of letters," the play was adapted by Jerome Kilty from the correspondence of Shaw and Mrs. Campbell and played on Broadway and on tour by Katharine Cornell and Brian Aherne.

They came to the Wisconsin Union theater in the course of the tour. 1 Prof. Church is a member of the UW tiusic faculty who has taught strings for more than 35 years and conducted the university symphony 20 years. Mrs. Church took part with him in Wisconsin Players productions when both were students at the university, she as an English major and he in speech.

Since their marriage, they have continued their interest in the theater, both singly and together. She has given one- woman performances portraying Shakespearea'n heroines, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and Mary Queen of Scots. Together they have done excerpts "from "Life With Father," "Caesar and Cleopatra," and "The Barretts of Wimpole Street" in Madison and around the state to civic and women's groups. The program in Alumni House and the Wisconsin Center will include illustrated lectures by Prof. Paul MacKendrick of classics on Roman remains in France and Prof.

Louisa Stark of anthropology on pre- Columbian art; a luncheon talk by Dean for Public Services LeRpy Luberg; and a concert by the Tudor Singers. A tour of the new Humanities Building will be offered at the end of the day. Blackhawk Questers Hear Mrs. Ned Smith Black Hawk Chapter 223 of Questers met this week at the home of Mrs. Maurice Kramer.

The table was decorated in a fall theme. Mrs. Kramer had made an over-cloth of netting, bordered with scattered, felt leaves of various colors and kinds that added to the feeling of fall. Mrs. Ned Smith gave a program on "Cooksville It's History and Restoration," including a picture tour of the quaint little village planned around a "Commons," after the manner of traditipnal New England Villages.

Most of the homes were made of a locally made light pink-orange brick in the Greek Revival and American Gothic Styles and date from 1847-1858. St. Patrick's Catholic Church was setting at 2 p.m. today for the marriage of Miss Elizabeth Ellen Fraunfelder and William G. Rotzoll. The Rev.

Larry Heitke officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice F. 1302 Putnam and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs.

Jean Rotzoll, 453 N. Pine St. The bride's gown was white angel mist taffeta and had a formal-length skirt. Chantilly lace and sequins were the trims. Her silk illusion veil was bouffant and shoulder-length and was held in place by a queen's crown.

Pink roses and white carnations were her flowers. Mrs. Robert Allen was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Connie Dalee, Sandra Bena and Kathleen Malterer. Dianne Dalee was the flower girl.

The bridegroom was attended by Andrew Fegestad. Harold Rotzoll, Kenneth and Charles Yahnke were groomsmen. Ushers were William Fraunfelder and Donald Rotzoll. 200 guests attended the reception in the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse. (Evans Studio) MRS.

FORT. ATKINSON The Candleligh'ers will hold their fifth annual benefit fashion show at 7 p.m. Nov. 24 in The Fireside. Theme for this year's show is "Fashion Boutique Parade." In keeping with the theme, a table of boutique items made by residents of the Jefferson County Home will be on sale.

Posters announcing the show are being designed by Mrs. Phillip Anderson. They will be placed in the downtown areas of Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Lake Mills, Watertown and Oconomowoc. Judge Sverre Roang Is AAUW Speaker Judge Sverre Roang will address members of the Janesville Branch of the American Association of University Women at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Woman's Club.

Judge Roang's talk will be entitled "This Could Be Your Child." Judge Roang serves as jurist for Rock County Court Branch 1. His responsibilities include juvenile jurisdiction for the northern portion of the county. Mmes. Willard Huber, Leslie Partridge and Alan Lee will be hostesses. AAUW membership is still open to women holding a baccalaureate or high degree from an approved college or university.

Nash, 2017 Mineral Point announced their daughter's engagement to the son of Mrs. Catherine Martin, 1614 N. Washington St. Miss Nash is a 1967 graduate of Janesville High School. She attended Whitewater State University and Madison Area Technical College.

Miss Nash is employed by Methodist Hospital, Madison. Mr. Martin graduated from the same high school in 1964 and is employed by General Motors. Candelighters are comprised of Jefferson county women interested in helping underprivileged area residents. They were organized in 1964.

Proceeds from the first Candlelighters fashion show were donated to the Jefferson Day Care Center. Proceeds from the last three shows were used jto purchase recreational equipment and lawn furniture for the residents of the Jefferson County Home. Proceeds for the 1969 show will go to the home.
