Guests at Gerald Schmitt's on Sunday for Roger's 10th birthday were the Clarence Arbo- ?asts, Fenton, Eugene Hus- kamps, and Mrs. Olga Huskamp, Fenton. Lewis Grams, a patient at the Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge, for several weeks, had major surgery last week for the second time. There will be surgery a?ain when his condition permits. Mr. Cram is a painter and has lived in a trailer house at Irvington for many years. He has a sister, Mrs. Mary Julius, of Fort Dodge, and a brother, Wm. Grams, Algona. Machine-That-Jack-Built — A homemade tractor that runs was made by Jack Knospe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Knospe, West Haven. Jack made his tractor from various other machine parts and he showed it at the science fair at the Volga school this spring. Jack is an 8th grade student there. Mr. and Mrs. Eustachy Hiszczyn- ky of Fort Dodge, graduated rom the University of Iowa Cpl- ege of Medicine at Iowa-City Friday morning. He was among he top 10 of the graduates and ,vas one of 20 initiated into the owa Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha, national honorary medicine medical society. The Hiszcz- ynsky family Came to America 'rom Poland in 1949 and were employed on the R. E. Dunphy farm for a brief time, then moved to Fort Dodge where Mr. His iczynsky is employed as a tailor at the Larson Clothing Store and Mrs. Hiszczynsky is employed at Lilyan's in the alteration ' department.
