the theological seminary of the Reformed Church In the United States preceding the fea ture address of the day by Hans Luther the ambassador from Ger many to the United States In celebration at Germanna Dr Richards described the beginning of the Reformed church in Virginia He said the earliest Reformed set tlers In Virginia came from rance not Germany The first German col ony was brought Virginia through the agency of Alexander Spotswood and Christopher von Graffenreld he said The colony he continued was composed of a group of miners of Siegen brought here by Graffenreld They were
