Algona, Iowa Services RUGS UPHOLSTERY, WALLS Services for C. H. Helland held at Bode Bode — Funeral services for Clarence M. Helland, 59, Bode farmer were held at the St. Olaf Lutheran church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Norman ohnson officiating. Mr. Helland assed away at Ft. Dodge Luthran hospital early Sunday morning after being a patient here for two days. Clarence Melvin, son of Chrisian and Martha Helland, was born on December 12, 1906 at Bode. He grew up in the Bode ommunity and received his education here. For ten years Mr. Helland worked for the Standard Oil Company and since that ;ime has farmed in the Bode, Ottosen area. On July 9, 1935 he was united in. marriage with Adela Grefstad at Bode. Mrs. Helland survives, as well as three children: Clifford and Robert of Bode, and Mrs. Charles Hauck (Orlinda) of Marion; also four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Casket bearers were Burton Rood, Marcus Rolland, Maurice Aasheim, Carlisle Halsrud, Max Janssen, and Neal Olson. Mr. Dale Vige, soloist, sang "Behold a Host Arrayed in White" and the "Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. David Engel.
