In the afternoon a three ed white wedding cake topped with gold wedding bells and punch were served from a table covered with gold taffeta and white net and centered with an arrangement of white gladioli with gold streamers. Golden Wedding was embossed on the streamers.

Dr. and Mrs. Gribble and children of Austin were Tuesday to attend funeral services for Jeff Starts and visited briefly with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Behrens.

"Lent" Program Topie At St. Luke's Guild Meeting Lent was the theme of the program at the regular meeting of the St. Luke's Guild of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church held Wednesday, March 3, in the home of Mrs. Thomas R.

Smith. Mrs. Harry G. Doran, president, presided over the meeting. Miss Lucy Rector led the opening prayer and gave the devotional from the second book of Corinthians.

"What Is Lent?" was given by Mrs. Thomas R. Smith and Mrs. Earnest Jones. Mrs.

C. E. Tisdale gave an interesting report on the Community Action Program. Refreshments were served to five members and one visitor. The next meeting will be held in the home of Miss Lucy Rector Wednesday, March 17.
