sclintiit to tpiak al Birt Wayne Wild, fcuena Vista college at Storm Lake, will speak to students at the Burt high school March 24 as a part of the Iowa visiting scientist program. He is one of 120 scientists making visits to Iowa high schools to help local teaching programs. He is chairman of natural science at Buena Vista and his research is in thermionic emission. He is a graduate of South Dakota State and has his masters from the university of Wisconsin. (Itwi) THURSDAY, MARCH 1>riW4' LOCALS Mr. and Mr*. James Will and family spent Sunday at Sibley with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Will. For many years Mr. Will was projectionist at the theatre here. Rev. and Mrs. H. S. Hammer of Gilmore City called on Evelyn Cady Sunday at the Good Samaritan Home. They were enroute home after having visited with friends at Swea City where he was pastor of the Methodist church many years, an<! were to attend a meeting at Gilmofe City, hence their brief visit here. Mr. and Mr*. Paul totoy Uft this week for a vacation of a few weeks at Pompano Beach, Boca Raton and other Florida points and will go from there to Camp Hood, Tex. where they will attend special ceremonies for Staff Sgt. Neill Hintz, brother of Mrs. Seeley who has been n service several years is retiring. Mrs. lim Wolf* it at Savtnt* berg, Kans. visiting with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, and from there was to go to Fairfield to be with relatives. She will also go to Iowa City for a routine check-up before returning. Mrs. Julius S*ll«r returned home Saturday after visiting a week in Cedar Falls with her daughter and family, the Mike O'Briens. They had a son born March 3, Timothy Kevin. There are two other children, Shelly and Christopher. The Henry Sellers, Charles City, brought Mrs, Seiler home and visited at St. Benedict for the weekend. Mr*. V«lma Patton, who recently injured her knee in a fall, is in Des Moines for a week with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Franz. They came for her and will bring her home.
