ALGONA (Iowa) ADVANCE-7 THURSDAY, MARCH 3, 1966 Mother of Tilonka woman dies Feb. 26 the mother of Mrs. John Stott, Titonka, died Saturday at the Turner nursing home at Armstrong. She was Mrs. Margaret Lang, 84/of Armstrong. Funeral .services were held Tuesday morning at St. Mary's church in Armstrong with burial in St. John's cemetery at Bancroft. She was born July 20, 1881 at Fayette and came to the Bancroft area with her parents. She was married to Martin Lang at Bancroft in October, 1903, and they farmed near Wadena, Minn, and later at Osakis. Minn, until his death in 1931. Mrs. Lang returned to Armstrong at that time to make her home with another daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Sandt. There are four daughters and two sons surviving. SING IN CHOIR Sioux City — Frances McDon aid, daughter of Mrs. H. Viola McDonald, Burt, who is a sopho more at Morningside college will sing Sunday, March 6, in a concert by the college oratorio choir and brass ensemble. The 100 voice choir will present a program of music for chorus and brass instruments in Grace church on campus. Churches First Methodist Rev. Frank L. Robert F. Lorenx Algona Thursday, March 3 1:30 p.m. — Sarah Group, Lutheran Church Women, meets at the church with Mrs. Harold Sundet and Mrs. Mildred Johnson as hostesses. Devotions will be led by Mrs. Carl Nelson, Bible study by Mrs. Mel Bay. 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. — Weekday Church School. 7:15 p.m. — Combined Senior-Chancel Choirs practice. Sunday, March 6 8:10 a.m. — Early Lent 2 Holy Communion Service. 9:20 to 10:35 a.m. —Sunday Church School. 10:45 a.m. — Later Lent 2 Holy Communion Service. 1:30 p.m. — Luther Leaguers meet at church for trip to Spencer for the Area Rally. Reservations must be made with Sally Bay for this trip by Thursday noon. Tuesday, March 8 4 to 5:30 p.m. — Senior Confirmation class. Wednesday, March 9 1 to 3 p.m. — "Mission Sewing Bee" for all women of the church.
