His parents, three brothers and one sister are deceased. Glenn Buchanan came from Iowa City to spend the weekend with his parents, the Al Bu- chanans. Julia Johnson, secretary for Attorney Miller, returned to Work alter recuperating several weeks from a fractured arm incurred in a fall. Mr. and Mrs. Nat Bangs have left for the Bahama islands last weekend and plan to return by the 18th of the month. Mrs. Lloyd Weliendorf is with the giris. Harley Peters, Charles City, son-in-law of the V. C. Smiths, was in Algona all last week on business. Mary Miller spent last weekend lor semester break from Drake with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Miller. Jodi Chally came home Thursday afternoon from SUI for the semester break. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cnally. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Poundstone had as guests Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nelson, TWo Har hois, Minn. They came Wednesday and spent several days. The Jerry Ustrums and year- old Sharon Kay moved Friday to Duouque wiiere he will be employed with John Deere. Tney will live in a duplex at Ibbu Forest Lane. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Macumber Services fer Edward Fitch on Saturday Funeral services for Edward Fitch, 85, were held in McCullough's Chapel Saturday after noon at three o'clock with Rev Gordon Miller officiating. Pallbearers were Roy Hansen, Ralph Yanser, Ralph Withum John Jennings, Mike Wagner and Perry Lownian. Burial was in Eastlawn cemetery. Edward Levit, son of Erastus and Fannie Gray Fitch, was born in Plum Creek township on September 3, 1880. The family moved to Sexton in 1892. He married Rosa Hicks on June 23, 1908. They lived near Sexton where he was engaged in farming and tiling and was retired. Survivors are three sons and four daughters: Victor, Titonka; Chester, Rockwell; Leona Wetland, Britt; Lois, Mrs. Martin Zimmerman, Whittemore; Harold, Renwick; Edna, Mrs. Arnold Danielson, Algona; Esther, Mrs. Andrew Miller, Fairfax. A son, Lyle, was killed in service arrived at the parental Clarence Macumber home Wednesday night from Long Beach, Calii. "They will be here a week before going to Great Lakes Naval Training station where he will go to school. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Leaneagh and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chalstrom left Thursday for a vacation at Pompano lieach, Calif. Mr. Leaneagh piloted his own plane. Mr. and ivirs. Delmer Reding are parents of a son, Mark Joseph, born January 29 at St. Ann hospital. He weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces at birth. There are six other children, 3 boys and 3 girls. Pam Henderson, daughter of the Robert Hendersons and a freshman at college in Iowa City, spent the semester break at home from Thursday night until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John Dreesman returne dhome last Monday after spending three days with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stiles Hutchison, Kansas. Ronnie Tschetter and his fi anoee, Jackie Korbel, Des Plai nes, 111., were involved in a min or intersection accident recent ly. She had a foot injury. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Reding lef by train today (Monday) for « month's visit with the Cletus Reding family in Phoenix, Ariz. HURT IN CRASH Bill Bourne had fadal cuts and bruises as a result of a car accident Tuesday evening at Iowa City. Bill was a passenger in the front seat of the automobile involved in an intersection colli sion with another car. He was hospitalized a day and a half but is again at Nu Sigma Nu fraternity house. All three in the car were freshman medical students.
