Mrs. Huffman, of 18206 Alyssum Drive, in Sun City West, moved to Arizona in 1979 from Seal Beach. Calif. She as born in Missouri. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Nelson; sister, Mildred Barber; and two grandchildren.

Services will be in Kansas City, Mo. Menke Funeral Home made local 82, owner of Diamond Stables and a contributor to the Heard Museum, died March 6, 1983. at her residence in Albuquerque, N.M. Mrs. Wallace was born in Alabama and moved to New Mexico in 1923 to teach the Navajo Indians.

Her horses have raced at Turf Paradise since the 1950s. She is survived by husband, Charles sons, Wayne G. and Kenneth and nine grandchildren. Services will be today in Albuquerque. French's Mortuary in Albuquerque made arrangements.

Robert Shannon Dr. Robert K. Shannon, who established Lee Optical of Arizona and Apache Optical of Phoenix in 1960, died March 4, 1983, at Medical City Hospital in Runaway Bay, Texas. Dr. Shannon, 65, moved to Mrs.

Higdon moved back to her native Kansas four years ago. She was a member of the Glendale First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her sisters, Esther Humbarger and Edith Koeman. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W.

Fischer, of 10408 Camden moved to Arizona in 1961 from Illinois. He was born in Kansas. He attended the University of Wisconsin and taught engineering in Madison. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; daughters, Eleanor Christoffersen and Doris Vitek; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 3 p.m.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Louise. Joseph Snyder Joseph Snyder, 84, a maintenance worker for the Postal Service, died March 7, 1983, at Veterans Administration Medical Center. Mr. Snyder, of 16801 N. 17th Place, moved to Arizona in 1935 from Maryland.

He was an Elk and a Navy veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Caroline; daughters, Margaret Grisby and Charlotte Norgan; sons, Marlowe and Howard Gray and a sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road.

Freezing drizzle spread a layer of ice in higher elevations of eastern upstate New York.

Northern Maine sank in a deep freeze of below-zero temperatures. Temperatures along the southern Great Lakes region plunged to the seasonable 30s about 40 degrees cooler than the weekend for the first time in nearly a week. Light snow fell on the upper Midwest from Minnesota to northern Illinois. Winds gusting to 40 mph across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa plummeted chill factors into the 20-belpw-zero range. Forecasters said winter had not returned for keeps.

Rocha, of 2111 N. 39th was born in Phoenix. He was a combat infantryman in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served in the Arizona National Guard for three years and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Vera; daughters, Yvonne and Nellie Garcia; five sisters, three brothers, seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Clark moved to Arizona in 1950 from Nevada. He was born in Arkansas. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; sons, Danny Riley, Clifford Jr. and Louie; a brother; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunwest Funeral Home, 15399 Grand in El Mirage. Carl Lorah Services for Carl Lorah, 79, who died March 7, 1983, at Phoenix Community Hospital, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave.

Mr. Lorah moved to Arizona 19 years ago from Illinois. He was born in Colorado and Scottsdale in 1959 and in the early 1960s served as chairman of the Arizona State Athletic Association and president of the Arizona State Board of Examiners. He also studied at Arizona State University. In 1970, he moved back to Dallas.

He served in the Royal Air Force and U.S. Air Force during World War II and after the war he moved to Dallas and founded Lee Optical of Texas. He served as president of the Texas Optometric Society. He also was a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason. He served on the Runaway Bay City Council for the last two years.

He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Optometry in 1938 and continued his studies at Harvard Business College. He also attended the University of Houston in the 1960s. He is survived by his wife, Irma; daughters, Anna Siler, Priscilla Moreland and Jo-Anne Gilmore; son, Robert III; and three grandchildren. Memorial services were in Texas.
