Another predictable toad taste look at canmpes life HSVOIGE OF THE tIEBDS On 7 at 8.30 pm it from the jocks except that the nerds wore glasses. Their main qualification for nerdiness was that they like to study things like computer science and aerodynamics but apart from that they did all the things the jocks did; they put cameras into the womens dormitories so they could watch them undressing, they had "panty raids" and drank till they threw up.

But the nerds have to have their revenge on the jocks for making them feel so bad all the time. It's no they emerge the winners, take over the leadership on the campus and get the pretty girls. Predictability Is one thing this movie is not short of. Amruta Slee in the script of Nerds because of its humanity. He must have been kidding.

The humanity section consists of a speech by head nerd, Lewis, pleading with the rest of the campus to let out the nerd living inside them all. It's a pity this movie is so bad because the idea sounds quite appealing. Who can resist the thought of nerds getting their revenge on the beautiful people by outwitting them? It should have been a clever and funny piece of lighthearted entertainment but instead it is a dreary little look at campus life with lots of anal humour thrown in for cheap laughs. One problem with the film is that I had trouble distinguishing the nerds IN AMERICAN universities the divisions are clear; there are the nerds and there are the jocks. The nerds are the people who trip over when they walk into a room, wear trousers that are too short and do their homework.

The jocks are the men who have blonde hair, play football and marry the cheerleaders. They have trouble spelling 'homework' let alone doing it. If you're female, your status in life comes from whether you're pretty and slim or fat and ugly. There are no prizes for guessing which one gets the nerd and which one the jock. And according to this movie it doesn't end there; when you go to university your looks or athletic prowess defines which sorority you join.

The sororities which take the jocks spend their time throwing each other into tubs filled with beer, throwing each other out of windows and throwing up. There are no sororities which take nerds if they can help it If all this is starting to sound slightly tacky and silly, wait till you see tonight's movie, Revenge of the Nerds. The director Jeff Kanew said that he didn't want to make just another teenage sex comedy and was interested Anthony Edwards and Robert Carradine define nerdiness. emu Morning Talkabout. 12.15 Focus on Living.
