Friends Family Christmas if/, \\ Mr, and Mrs. Cliff Skog* strom and their two daughters, Janie and Jean left Tuesday, Dec. 19 for California, where they will be visiting in the Los Angeles area over the Christmas holidays. The Skogstroms will visit Mr. Skogstrom's sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kennedy who lives in Anaheim, and with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kinsey in Hunnington Beach, Calif. Ths Skogstrom family will return to Algona on Dec. 30 having made the trip by train from Perry. Mr. and Mr». Nat Bangs with Cally and Betsy will spend Christmas visiting at the home of Mrs. Bangs parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gridley in Locust, N. J. The families of Mr. and Mrs. Al Buchanan and Mr. and Mrs. Russ Buchanan will be gathering together on Christmas day for a family dinner together. Joining the Buchanan's will be Mrs. Edith Buchanan, mother of Al and Russ and a niece of Mrs. Edith Buchanan, Miss Helen Hoover of Norfolk, Nebr. •Miss Hoover will be visiting in Algona over the Christmas holiday. ' Mr. and Mrs. Robert Poage Jr. will be spending Christmas and the New Year holiday visiting at the home of their parents in Mexico, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Poage, Sr. and Mrs. Poage's parents Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Norfleet. The Poage's left for Missouri on Dec. 22. Visiting in Charles City over Christmas will be the Andrew Mullen family. They will be the guests of their son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mullen and family. Mr., and Mrs. David Cagwin and three children will be Christmas guests at the home of Mr. Cagwin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cagwin in St. Anthony, la. and at the home of Mrs. Cagwin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gilmore who live in New Providence, la. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Tripp and family are spending Christmas with Mrs, Tripp's family at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Bruhn. The Tripps will leave on Christmas Eve. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allen will have as guests over the Christmas holiday, Mrs. Allen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. •Richard Cook from Mason City. Also home for the holiday will be the Allen's daughter, Diane, who is employed at the Gas Co. in Perry, la. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Barr and three sons will be spending Christmas at the home of Mrs. Barr's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sargeant in Sioux City. Home from the State •University at Ames . will be Doug Barr. Gary, another son will also be spending the Christmas vacation with his parents. Gary is a student at Centerville Junior College in Centerville, la. Mr. and Mrs. John Dole and family will be guests over Christmas at the home of Mrs. Dole's mother, Mrs. M. J. Carpenter in Lawton, Oklahoma. Mr, and Mrs. James Sloter will be spending Christmas Eve at the home of Mr. Sloter's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Sloter in Waterloo. On Christmas Day, Mr. and Mrs. Sloter will have as guests, Mrs. Sloter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Prior of Ida Grove, Mr. and Mrs.; Don Prior and family of Sac City, brother of Mrs. Sloter's and Mr. and Mrs. •Michael Baker and family of Mason City. Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Sloter are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Armin Schulti will have as guests on Christmas eve, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Schultz and daughter, Virginia and another daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Brayton and two sons of Grundy Center. Connie Schultz will also be home from Buena Vista College visiting her parents, the Armin Schultz's over the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Holllt Benschoter left for the east with their daughter, Mrs. James Park, the former Ruth Benschoter, who has been visiting here for the past week. The Benschoters will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Park in their home in Aberdeen, Maryland and will also visit at the home of another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Green, the former Harriet Benschoter in New York. They will return after the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Baldwin Jr. and family will be Christmas guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dremmel in Burt. Mrs. Baldwin is a daughter of the Dremmels. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Boeckholt will be Christmas guests at the home of Mrs. Boeckholt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Elmore. The Boeckholt's are expecting their son- in-law, Sp/4 Tom Miller who is stationed in Viet Nam to be joining them for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bunting will be spending the Christmas holidays at the home of Mrs. Bunting's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Olson and with a brother, Mr. Clarence Meyer, all who live in Courtland, Minn. Traveling to Webster City to spend Christmas Day will be Mr. and Mrs. Ted Chris- chilles and family. The Chris- chillesiwill be guests at the home of Mrs. Chrischilles's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Knudson. Christmas Day Mr. and Mrs. Dewain DeRoos and son will be guests of Mrs. DeRoos's mother, Mrs. Clem Smith in Hospers and that evening they will join Mr. DeRoos's mother, Mrs. Hilda DeRoos in Sheldon for Christmas dinner. Mr. and Mrs. William Geering will have as guests over the Christmas holidays the Rev. and Mrs. E. P. Black and family of Glen Ellyn, HI., and the Gecrings granddaughter from St. Paul, 'Mr. and Mrs. James Lau. Mrs. Lau is a daughter of the Blacks. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Nels Anderson and family on Christmas Day will be Mrs. Anderson's sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Ownes and two sons who have just returned from Viet Nam, and Mrs. Margaret Leftwick of Cedar 'Rapids, also a sister of Mrs. Anderson. Joining the Anderson family will be Mr. Anderson's mother, Mrs. Rachael Anderson of Charles City. Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Cook and family will be spending Christmas Eve with Mrs. Cook's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill MoMullin in Des Moines, and guests of 'Mr. and Mrs. Cook from Saturday, Dec. 24 until the following Monday will be Mr. Cook's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Cook of Wilmar, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox and son Greg will have their family' with them on Christmas and arriving home to be with their parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Van Allen and children of Topeka, Kansas; Nancy Fox, who is living with the Van Allen's and going to Washburn University in Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Campbell of Sheldon, and Mr. Ken Fox of St. Paul, Minn. Tom Fox who is stationed at McConnel Air Force Base will not be able to be with the family over the holidays. Gordon, Ga. will be home for 2 or 3 weeks visiting his family. Traveling to Des Moines to spend Christmas Eve will be Mr. and Mrs. Chuck McCabe and family at the home of Mr. McCabe's parents, Mr. and •Mrs. Charles McCabe, Sr. On Christmas Day the McCabes will be visiting at the home of Mrs. McCabes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dolliver Zinke in Audubon. Dr. and Mrs. Don Kingfield and family will be guests in the home of Dr. Kingfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Kingfield in Sac City on Christmas Eve and at the home of Mrs. Kingfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brotherton in Wall Lake on Christmas Day. Mrs. Rose Sigsbee will be spending the Christmas holiday at the home of her daughter, Mr, and Mrs. Earl Beardsley and family in Lincoln, Nebr. • i, The Don MeGuire daughters, Janet and Pat will be home from Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas, for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Art Olson and family will be spending the Christmas holiday at the home of Mrs. Olson's mother, Mrs. Elmer Christian in Emmons, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Anton Didriksen will be spending Christmas at the home of the Roger Didriksens and their three boys in Des Moines. Dr. and Mrs. M. R. Baldwin and family will be spending the Christmas weekend at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ulrich and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldwin in Fort Dodge. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Andreason and family will be spending Christmas day at the home of Mrs. Andreason's parents, 'Mr. and Mrs. Kenyon Kimmel in Sheldon, la. The Phil Ballard family will be visiting Mrs. Ballard's brother, Mr, and Mrs. Steve Doughan on Christmas Eve. The Doughan's live in Wesley. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bilyeu and three children, Doug, David, and Traci will be spending Christmas at the home of Mrs. Bilyeu's mother, Mrs. Metta Snyder in Eagle Grove. Arriving home to spend Christmas with her parents will be Joyce Huenhold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. "Tunnie" Huenhold. Joyce is the head nurse in Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska hospital in Omaha. Before flying home to be with her parents Joyce will fly to Chicago for four days and will be home on the 22nd of Dec. un- Mr, and Mrs. D. K. Jane Fraser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fraser will be spending the Christmas holidays with her parents. Jane is in pre-nurses training in Iowa City, and arrived home on the 15th. Mr. and Mrs, Everet't Steven of Sexton will be spending Christmas Day at the home of their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kiess in Charles City. On Dec. 19 the Stevens will be guests at the home of Mrs. Steven's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Genrich of Lu- Verne. Mr, and Mrs. Jarry Payne and family were visited short- - ly before Christmas by Mr. Payne's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Payne of Beatrice, Neb. Iliey were guests for several days in the Payne home. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Stillman will spend the Christmas holiday with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jones in LaCrosse, Wis. IS-.a Dr. Daniel Bray family will be spending Christmas together and will be coming from various parts of the Un!i?u States this year. From Denver, Colo, will be Betty and from Washington, D. C. Fatty Bray, students at the university of Iowa in Iowa C.ty who will be home over the Holidays are Mary and Danny. Mr. and Mr*. Ronald Gardner will have their son Eugene home from South Dakota State College in Brookings over the holidays and over Christmas they will have their daughter and husband, .Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Haack as guests. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cassel will have their daughters Michele and Connie home over the Christmas Holidays. Michele is a student at St. Theresa in Winona and Connie is attending Creighton University in ,Omaha. Mrs.'W. W. Cassel, mother of Mr. Cassel will also be a guest of the Cassels over Christmas. Ruth Cassel, youngest daughter of the Cassels will not be home and the Cassels will be driving to Mt. Loretta in Dubuque to visit her the day after Christmas. Christmas Eve the Cassel family will 4 iin the E. C. McMahon's 1.1 their ' home. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Robinson will have as guests on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, 'Mr. and Mrs. Dick Robinson and 3 children, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Robinson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Jergenson and family, and Jean who is attending Eagle Grove Junior College. Jean will arrive home for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec. 20. She was recently in a Christmas Cantata which was held at the College on Sunday, Dec. 18. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smith will have as their guests over the Christmas Holidays their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Plummer and three children, Patrick, .Mary 'Beth and Eric from Wilmington, Delaware. The Plummers drove to Algona arriving on Friday, Dec. 15. Mrs. Plummer is the former Linda Smith. Home from St. Mary's in Winona will be Mike Smith and Bob from the University of Iowa at Iowa City. Mike was one of ten who just recently graduated from St. Mary's in mid-year graduation. His plans for the future are indefinite depending on his service status. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mains and family will be dinner guests on Christmas Day at the home of Mrs. Main's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lauck in West Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cowan will be having as guests on Christmas day two of their daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Nelson and two children, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Helmers who are attending college at Cedar Falls, Also joining the Cowan family will be Mrs. Cowan's mother, Mrs. Alene Hemphill and Mr. Cowan's mother, Mrs. Alice Cowan. Spending the Christmas holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Keith will bs their daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Klein who are teaching in Cedar Falls and the Keith's son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Keith and daughter of Burt. Arriving home to spend the Christmas holidays with their parents, Dr. and Mrs. John Schutter, are Mr. and Mrs. John Schutter Jr, who is attending Colgate University, Peg Schutter, a student - at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and Jim Schutter who is attending St. Olaf's College in NorthfieJd, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. John Schutter Jr. will be visiting here until New Years Day. Holiday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Norton will be their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hartsfield of Fort Defiance, Ariz.'and Leslie Norton who is a student at Estherville Junior College in Estherville. The Nortons will be spending Christmas at the home of Mrs. Norton's mother, Mrs. N. E. Downing and with Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Crosby and family of Marshalltown. Mr. ami Mrs. Den Wood with their family will be driving to Clarion to spend Christmas Day at the home of •Mrs. Wood's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Palmer and family, Their son, Sig will be home over the holidays from Simpson College and their daughter Julie will also be home over Christmas. Julie is employed in Mason City. Leaving for California to spend the Christmas holidays are Mr. and Mrs. Gordie Winkel and family. The Winkel's . will be leaving on Dec. 19 by train from Perry, la. and will be guests in the home of Mr. Winkel's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gargiulo, the former Helen Winkel in Garden Grove, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Sloniker with their son, Kim and daughter Carol will be spending the Holiday weekend at the home of Mrs. Sloniker's mother, Mrs. William Senne in Kenosha, Wis. Carol will be home during the holidays from the University of Iowa where she is a Freshman student. Dr. and Mrs. Harold Brick- > son with their two daughters, Lynn and Karen are spending the Christmas holidays in the south, having left on Friday, Dec. 15. The Erickson's will be taking the scenic route through Kentucky, stopping in Atlanta to see the Cycl-O- Rama and from there will drive around the tip of Florida. They will be stopping in Fort Meyer to visit with the F. E. Sawyers along the way returning on Dec. 28. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Finn with their son, Jim, will be spending Christmas with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. ; Don Welp and family at Bancroft. Jim will be home over the holidays from the University of Dubuque where he is a Seminarian Student. Also joining the Finns for the holiday festivities will be Mrs. Anna Courtney. Miss Cathy Bestenlohner and Bob Bestenlehner, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bestenlehner will be home for the Christmas holidays. Cathy is attending Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas and Bob is a student at North Iowa Community College at Mason City. They arrived home on Dec. 15. Mrs. Bridget Smith will have as dinner guests on Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. William Dietrick .and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Smith and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kelly and family of New Haven, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sullivan and family of Osage, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith and family of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Seller and family of Mason City and Mr. Steve Smith who is a student at the State University of Iowa at Ames. The Joseph Kelly family will be visiting in Algona for a week with the William Dietricks and with their mother, Mrs. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Beamish will be spending the Christmas Holidays and ntott of the winter in Texas. They will be visiting with Mr. and Mrs Jerry Beamish and family in Fort Worth and with Mr. and Mrs. Don French and family in Dallas over Christmas. Spending the Christmas' Holidays with Mr. and Mrs. John Dreesman are their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Chuang of .Hong Kong. Mrs. Chuang has been visiting here for a short time and will be joined by her husband for the holidays on the 20th of December. Arriving home for the holidays also will be their son, Robert, who is a student at the State University of Iowa at Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Robinson will be driving to Ryan, la. to spend ' Christmas with an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. U. S. Baxter. The 'Robinsons will be gone several days. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ringsdorf will be hosts to the members of their family at a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day. Guests are Mrs. Lillian Ringsdorf and daughter Shirley, Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Struthers, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Elbert and family, Mrs. Jane Hildebrand and family of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Zittritsch & family of Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Zittritsch and family of Morton, 111,, Mr. and' Mrs. terry Ringsdorf of Denison, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Godfredson of Armstrong and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ringsdorf of Woden, la. Judy is a student at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Whittt- more will have as guests over the Holidays, their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Carnes, North Kingstown, R. I. Mrs. Carnes, was Brigitta Whittemore, Also home from the University of Iowa is another daughter, Lark, who is a Freshman at the University, and arrived home on Friday, Dec. 15. Mr, and Mrs. Vernon Jen* sen will be spending the Christmas Holiday in Lansing, Michigan visiting their son and daughter-in-law and family, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen. Dr. Jensen is teaching at the State University of Michigan.
